This is a recent website I designed for .connection.

Designed with calm in mind 🌿 the Forest Connection uses earthy greens, soft neutrals and spacious layouts to invite visitors to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with themselves. Photography and beautiful illustrative elements mirror the experience of being held in nature. It evokes feelings of warmth, restoration and grounding.

Hey there! I’ve been on a bit of a socials hiatus for quite a while now but I thought it’s time to come back and share a little of what’s been happening at Joco.

One of my most recent branding projects I had the pleasure of working with the amazing Fine, the founder of Forest Connection .connection . She lives and breathes all things nature and has started this business with the aim of showing people how to reconnect with themselves by unplugging from devices, deadlines and mental clutter and taking a moment to slow down, breathe and be present whilst immersing themselves in nature. She essentially creates magic through nature!

I really enjoyed working on this brand design. It was an opportunity to put my illustration hat on and come up with a design that visually represented the essence and vision of her brand.

As said by my lovely client…

“A visual reflection of the journey I’ve been walking. Each shade, curve and element chosen with intention - to echo the stillness, connection and quiet wonder that lives at the heart of what I do.”

I’ve recently had the pleasure of working with the lovely Lea who has just embarked on an exciting new venture with her new business Sage Massage Therapy. I worked closely with Lea to bring her vision for her new brand identity to life. The combination of imagery, colours and typography on the moodboard, captures the essence of her brand which is to ensure her clients feel welcomed, nurtured and valued. Lea loves her new brand identity and I’m so grateful to have another happy client! ☺️

You can find Lea at Alasana Yoga in Gymea. She specialises in remedial, relaxation, sports therapy and deep tissue massage with tailored treatments for each of her clients.

Inspired by a chat with the amazingly talented this morning encouraging me to get more art play into my day I decided to get my inktense and watercolour pencils out and create some sweet watermelon slices. I actually really love the texture that comes through using these pencils on watercolour paper however there is nothing like seeing that beautiful vibrant pigment of colour come to life when the water comes into play! I feel a pattern coming on next from this! 😆

Decided to immerse myself in some watercolour painting play today, which I haven’t done in so long. I’m very much a beginner, this is my first attempt at doing a loose watercolour floral… red roses my mum’s favourite. I definitely need some more practice however I’m quite chuffed with the outcome 😀

I recently had the pleasure of designing this Brazilian inspired brand logo for the lovely Roberta from

Originally from Brazil Roberta has relocated to Perth in Australia and brings with her a range of beauty & skincare products that use natural and renewable ingredients from the Amazon forest.

To visually connect the brand identity to the Amazon rainforest I illustrated commonly seen leaves in beautiful green colours and placed together creating a border around the business name. The typography has been manipulated so it is unique to this brand.

I love working with beauty and skincare brands so if you’re in need of a brand refresh or starting a new business in this space, I’m your girl and would love to chat! 😊

Every week I buy myself flowers and allow myself to be led by the colour which in turn generally reflects my mood, as choosing colours tends to do!

This week I’ve been feeling happy, energetic and quite thoughtful. Listening and tuning in to those inner yearnings deep within and letting go of anything that isn’t feeling good. So I found myself immediately attracted to the warm reds and coral tones in the Dahlia flower then went towards the orange and creamy yellow tones in the Chrysanthemum flower, then to finish it off some Magnolia leaves which I absolutely love with their beautiful green tops and rusty orange under leaf colouring.

What a beautiful rich colour palette! I think it’s safe to say I’m crushing a little on Autumn colours right now! 🍁

Have I mentioned I love drawing lovely ladies? Yep I do, they are so much fun to illustrate. So I thought to mark International Women’s Day today I would create a cool little drawing that to me just says ‘I’ve got you babe’.

I’m fortunate to be surrounded by many women in my life who I admire and who inspire me constantly. My 94 yo grandmother sits right at the top, such a beautiful, caring, strong and bloody funny woman who I love dearly, followed by my mum (her daughter), a real life angel with the most selfless loving heart, always my rock and bestest friend.

To all my beautiful friends, remember I’ve always got you babe! 💖
