💫🤳🏼 Here are 4 new Instagram updates worth knowing if you use it for your business:

⭒ First Draft for Reels
Choose your clips and the app puts together a rough first edit, trimming pauses and pulling out parts. Good for behind-the-scenes footage, talking video, compiling clips for a montage edit.

⭒ Multiple captions
Some accounts can now add a separate caption to each slide in a carousel. Good for adding separate product details, explaining before/afters, FAQs, event photos, explaining process steps.

⭒ Change the audio after you post
Replace music on published feed posts and carousels while keeping the likes, comments and shares. Great when a song becomes unavailable or you picked the wrong track.

⭒ Add to Highlights only
Instagram is testing ways to add content straight to Highlights, which is VERY handy for businesses building out FAQs, services, testimonials, locations or useful profile info without posting it all to followers first.

3 emails in 1 hour is a great way to make someone regret giving you their address 😅

When I build a welcome sequence, I want each email to have a job.

The first email delivers what they asked for.
The next one helps them use it, answers a related question or gives them something genuinely useful.

Sales can come later, once the person has had a chance to read, click and get familiar with the business.

The timing should also match what you promised when they signed up, if someone joined for a free guide, they didn’t agree to an inbox takeover. Send emails that your audience will be excited to open.

📲 “the algorithm only wants videos made in Edits”... not quite. Mosseri has confirmed you can edit your Instagram and Facebook videos in other apps, there's only one catch.

We use a mix of software depending on the client and what we’re making:
☆ Descript ☆ CapCut ☆ Canva ☆ Edits

Pro tip: edit somewhere else, then publish through Edits.

There’s still a lot of talk around the “Made on Edits” label and whether Meta gives those posts a boost on the feed, but that hasn’t been officially confirmed, so I wouldn’t choose worse editing software just to stay inside Edits. Use the app that gets you the best video with your skill level, maybe that is Edits.
