Would you trust a baby with your business? 👶

So why are you trusting AI - in its absolute infancy - to:

✨ Write all your articles
✨ Create all your marketing strategies and
✨ Do ALL those other annoying day-to-day tasks
.. without you (as an experienced marketer - and adult) checking it?

🤔🤔

Remember, GenAI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Co-pilot are like babies right now.

They're good - but they're not THAT good.

Right now, we're at the absolute beginning of this new AI world.

AI tools are still in their early stages. Meaning, there are still so many bugs, biases, and unethical practices involved.

Please don't fall into the laziness trap. 🦥

Ensure you're adding the human touch.

Remember all your years of experience and skills - and bring them to the table.

Don't treat the babies like bosses! 😂

Have you ever received an apology email that was obviously (badly) written by AI?

I've just seen a LI post from someone about this - and wanted to throw in my 5 cents.

Firstly - I believe it's okay to use AI to help you respond to difficult emails - especially if it helps you to distance yourself and not become overly erratic, emotional, or rude with your words. 😅

But one of the absolute key things I teach all my AI students is the importance of training the tools to understand and provide responses in their own brand voice. 👌

Another key thing is to ONLY use AI as a first draft - and ensure you tweak it to sound more like you, doesn't sound like a parrot, and doesn't feature Americanized spelling - like Marty unfortunately experienced. 😕

Too many people are using AI out of laziness (disguised as productivity) and not taking the time to properly train and explain the desired outcome.

They just treat it like a Google search - 'Write me a reply to this email below'. But that's not how prompt engineering works!

I'm on a mission to teach people the best methods of using AI with the human touch...

Too many people are simply abusing the system - but it's not your fault. You don't know what you don't know!

When it comes to being an event MC, I'm not afraid to completely dive into the celebrations! 🎉

Here's me last night (in my bright turquoise dress) singing and dancing among the crowd for the Nep-Aus Finance Women 10th anniversary ball. 💃

It was such a fun event - and I was complimented on my pronunciations of the names of the 40 Nepalese Directors and Shareholders. 😁 (I guess growing up and living in multicultural communities made it fairly easy for me. 😉)

A massive shout out to for being my 'assistant' - taking heaps of videos and photos, as well as coaching me throughout the evening.

I have this whiteboard sitting on my desk at the home office... And a little motivational fairy keeps visiting me when I'm not around! 🧚

It started with 'Be yourself.'

Then 'Just go about it!' appeared.

Then 'Slay the pain!'

And more recently, 'Shine bright.'

I have an inkling they've been written by our 10 year old daughter, but don't actually have proof... 🤔

But these messages remind me two key things -

🗝️ I must always keep going and remember my worth, even when times are tough.

🗝️ and I are bringing up a very emotionally intelligent young woman.

I smile every time I see a new hand-written message magically appear on the whiteboard.

And it's a very different feeling than seeing AI-generated words magically appear on my screen. 😂

Some people say I'm lucky to find all these amazing opportunities throughout my business journey - especially over the last year.

But the thing is, I don't just stumble across these opportunities.

And I don't *always* work super hard for them. (Although in many cases I do!)

Most of the time, I simply ask for them.

Yep. That's it! 🫨

Here's an example of my day today -

✨I finalised the landing page copy for a new AI masterclass I've decided to run for fellow copywriters - and started asking people to register. (Will share more details about this tomorrow!)

✨ I finished 2 landing pages for one of StudioHawk's clients - then reached out to my contact to ask if there were more big projects available. (Guess what? There was!)

✨ I received a call about entering the Stevie Awards. While I'm not doing the awards thing this year (long story...), it came up that the team at The Audacious Agency is looking for more copywriters. I asked if I could receive more details about it. And I now have a meeting lined up about the opportunity on Friday.

What's the lesson here?

As mama used to say - If you don't ask, you don't get!

"Sometimes to survive, we must become more than we're programmed to be."

I heard this quote while watching the 'Wild Robot' movie trailer with my 10-year-old daughter. (A movie she is soo excited to see when released btw.)

And it really hit home for me. 🤔

I was never 'programmed' to be an AI Trainer.

I never hung out in the IT or tech spaces.

I never embraced innovative stuff (although admired it from afar).

But here I am - an International ChatGPT Trainer and Speaker. ❤️

And I did it to survive.

I was once programmed to believe that finding a full time job after uni was the right fit for me.

But then I needed to survive life as a new mum and find flexibility.

So I decided to re-program myself to understand the life of a freelance copywriter.

Then, to survive the AI boom, I decided to pre-program myself to understand ChatGPT and train others on the subject. I knew I had extensive copywriting and content marketing experience and knowledge to work with.

And this move may soon steer me away from the world of copywriting for good. Something I'd programmed myself to do very well.

While I have a few ideas about the next steps to take (and ChatGPT gave me some great suggestions last night), I have a feeling I'll soon be out of my comfort zone once again.

Doing something I wasn't previously programmed to do.

But I'm determined to not only survive.
I'm determined to thrive.

I just need to do a mix of taking action - while also trusting that things will fall into place.
