Today marks the final day of RSV Awareness Week.

While RSV is often thought of as a childhood illness, it can also have a serious impact on older Australians and those living with chronic respiratory conditions.

As Mark Brooke, CEO of Lung Foundation Australia, said:
"We regularly hear from older Australians whose lives are disrupted after a severe RSV infection, particularly those already managing conditions like COPD or asthma."

At Cube, we're proud to support campaigns that help shine a light on under-recognised health issues, amplify lived experience and encourage informed health conversations.

Because every health statistic represents a real person and a real life.

A historic milestone for Australia's arthritis community 💙

The Federal Government has announced a record $100 million investment in arthritis and musculoskeletal research over the next decade - the largest in Australian history.

This is a major step forward for the more than 7 million Australians living with the daily pain of arthritis and musculoskeletal conditions, bringing hope for better treatments, earlier diagnosis and, one day, a cure.

Thank you to the Australian Government for this landmark commitment, and to the people living with arthritis, researchers, clinicians and advocates whose tireless efforts over many years helped make this milestone possible.

Hope for the future of cancer care in Australia 💙

The Federal Government committed funding, for the next two years, for Omico's PrOSPeCT program, supporting continued access to precision oncology across Australia.

More than 50,000 Australians lose their lives to cancer each year. This commitment marks an important step towards personalised cancer care which will extend and improve the lives of many Australians living with advanced and incurable cancer. ✨

The way people access and interpret health information is changing.

Large language models like ChatGPT and Gemini are increasingly being used to ask questions and receive synthesised responses, rather than searching, clicking and interpreting information independently.

Tools like ChatGPT Health signal where this is heading next.

Cube Senior Director, Bonnie Leibel, shares her perspective on how this is reshaping expectations around trust, accuracy and how health information is experienced.

💉 Vaccination rates are on the decline, here's why it matters.

Vaccines protect children, adolescents and expectant mother's from preventable illnesses, and enable older generations to enjoy longer, healthier, more independent lives.

Misinformation, access issues and complacency are driving the decline. The risk? More preventable disease and deaths.

For World Immunisation Week the focus is on rebuilding trust, improving access, strengthening systems to protect communities across every generation.
