Here are some photos from our first T Shirt painting workshop on the east coast in Sydney back in September.
It was a blast to be part of the Sutherland Shire Bush Craft Festival 2025. We explored the local native flora observing colour, shape with a walk through the local bushland.
We were able to combine Sheena's Bush care knowledge of local flora,🌸with Andrew's art skills. 🎨 Together we came up with this beautiful t shirt design. All the participants had a great time, and we had amazing results from everyone. Thank you to all who were involved, and it was great to work with the Sutherland shire council during this fantastic event.

The sample t shirts I made for this event have come out with some insane colours.

If you are keen to get involved and make your own t shirt, I would jump on and book your ticket early because we have limited spaces on this workshop.

Don't worry if you are a little bit nervous getting creative, (everyone does before getting started) we are going to teach you to jump straight in and get those colours flowing.

Who doesn’t want to wear their very own artwork? Well now you can!

“Andrew and Sheena of 7Dayweekend will guide you through a colour mixing exercise based on the primary colours and teach you how to mix the colours of the Aurora, how to apply the paints and use your stencil.

A black T shirt shall be provided with an outline stencil of the landscape of Denmark, overlooking the Wilson’s Inlet. All the t shirts are 100% Organic Cotton and the screenprinting inks are soil association approved.

All the shirts shall be dried and heat pressed at the end of the workshop so you can wear your new creation to enjoy the rest of the Brave New Works Festival.”

I have just delivered the hand painted t-shirts to the staff at Denmark Arts. It's always so much fun seeing people's reactions when I deliver artwork.
I am looking forward to seeing these being worn at the festival.

I shall be teaching the technique I used to create these shirts at the Brave New Works Festival on Saturday 5th April 2025, 9am -12pm.

I'm so excited to share this new painting technique at Denmark Arts Brave New Works Festival.
Check out these t shirts I hand painting for the staff at Denmark Arts.
I have used a new stencil technique where I have under painted in white, then glazed the colour over the top. This technique on the black shirts makes the colours pop.

Our first workshop at Cafe Mojos Mundaring, Perth WA was really rewarding.
Sabrina and Jo did a great job with two contrasting styles. Sabrina had a pastel style and loves purple, whilst Jo used a dotted technique.
It's fascinating to see all the variations this course produces.
It was lovely seeing the excitement Sabrina had skipping off in her new t-shirt to show her friends at the cafe.

Bremer Bay Workshop

Bremer Bay loves the Seadragons and we had a blast seeing some colourful creations come to life this weekend.

An array of styles and colours on show ranging from realism to the avantgarde.
The beauty of paint application is that every stroke is totally unique and never can be repeated.
It's been fun watching the joy that colour and painting can give to people whatever your age.

It has been great hearing the feedback from all our budding artists. Often it is hard to find the time in our busy schedule to explore those creative pursuits, so it is great that our workshop is giving people the opportunity to unwind, slow down and enjoy the creative process.

There is also a little fear factor or nervousness before getting the paint on the t shirt but with a little encouragement and guidance, it is great seeing people jump in, get the paint of the canvas, enjoy the journey and have the satisfaction of creating something new.

We are fascinated every time we run our workshops to see all the new creations coming to life.

Thank you to all who came to our t-shirt painting workshop at the Denmark Markets on Sunday 23rd of Feb it was a blast.

One of the couples who attended our workshop decided to swap T shirts and paint their partners shirt. What a great idea and so fun. Letting go of all expectation and of what will be and enjoying the journey is what we encourage. After all that’s what art is about.
