🧐 I want you to scroll past your own feed for a second. Could any of that content belong to someone else? If yes, let's talk about what makes your brand unmistakably yours...

If someone scrolls past your content, they should instantly know it's yours.

That's brand recognition. And right now, AI is quietly working against it for a lot of businesses.

AI tools for creating flyers and social posts are fast, free and genuinely useful in the right places. I'm pro AI for many things.

But when you're pulling from the same template pool as thousands of other businesses, your content starts to look like theirs.

Audiences aren't reading. They're pattern-matching. Attention spans are short. If your content looks familiar, they'll scroll past it without a second thought.

Before you hit generate, ask yourself:

Does this look like it could belong to any business, or does it look unmistakably like mine?

Am I building recognition, or just getting a message out?

AI is powerful. Just be mindful about where you use it.

Because if you start to look like everyone else, no one will recognise you.

🏆 Finalist. And this one means more than you know.

I'll be honest - this year I actually forgot to remind my network of friends and clients that I entered my Local Business Awards.🤭 Life got busy, and it slipped my mind. So when I found out Savvy Design Solutions had been named a finalist (1 of 6 finalists out of 48 entries in my category) I was completely taken aback.

Because those votes? They came from people who simply believe in what I do. Unprompted. Wholeheartedly. And that is everything.

Since first entering in 2022 (with a win! 🙌), and as a finalist in 2023, 2024, 2025, and now 2026 - this recognition has become something I hold deeply. Not because of the accolade itself, but because of what it reflects.

It reflects the same values I bring to every single client, every single project:

In 25 years of business, I've never treated a project as just a job. Every brief, every brand, every piece of design carries my name - and more importantly, it carries my client's story. That responsibility doesn't get lighter with time. It gets more meaningful.

When you first start out, you just need a logo. Something to get you out into the world. There’s no grand strategy or deep brand thinking - you pick something that looks decent, slap it on a business card, and off you go!.
And honestly, that’s completely fine. You’re building a business. �But fast forward a few years and something shifts.
The business has grown. The reputation is established. The clients are bigger. The work has evolved. And suddenly, that original logo no longer reflects the standard of the business behind it.
That’s exactly where Sutherland Shire Lawn & Garden found themselves when they came to Savvy Design Solutions.
Their service, systems and quality of work had evolved - but the brand was still telling the old story. The design objective was to create a visual identity that felt professional, structured and capable of attracting larger commercial clients.

The brand marks design draws inspiration from both commercial site plans and the precise movement of a clock. Together, they communicate both the problem the business solves and what matters most to commercial clients: efficiency, reliability, organisation and a process that runs like clockwork.

Built on a strict grid, every element is intentional. The structured geometry signals consistency and control, while the forward movement within the mark (inspired by clock hands in motion) communicates momentum and progress.

A business that stays ahead, not one that catches up.
It’s the visual equivalent of a well-run site:�Everything in its place. Everything on time. ✔️
