Who I am: Today, I am a woman celebrating another year of life, wisdom, and alignment! Reflecting on these past 11 days, I’ve shared glimpses of who I am—a woman who is a scientist, an artist, a leader, an author, a movement architect, a wife, a mother, and a daughter of the Most High.

I am sustained by God’s grace, fueled by community, and sharpened by love.
People can sometimes get caught up in the many titles and roles I carry, but each one has shaped who I am. Every hat I’ve worn has contributed to the woman I’ve become. Today, as I reflect on my journey, I pause with deep gratitude for the impact made and the lessons learned along the way.
As I celebrate my birthday, 30 years of professional life, and 13 years since earning my PhD, I am sincerely grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey. Thank you for making it meaningful and rewarding—even in the smallest ways.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗜 𝗮𝗺: Growing up in a very large family taught me the delicate art of human dynamics—knowing when to ebb and when to flow. God gave me a unique grace as a Convenor, with the ability to naturally bring people together around a shared cause or meaningful conversation.
You know you’ve evolved when coaches, politicians, and C-suite executives are asking you to make space in your diary for strategic insight. After 30 years of navigating diverse spaces, I’ve grown into an architect of movements—designing intentional environments where people can connect, align, and thrive.

This year, in particular, has been a strategic launchpad for two global movements.
The Waymaker’s Alliance was born to support professionals and entrepreneurs who desire to faithfully steward Kingdom mandates in the marketplace. This is a vision I have carried for many years, and I am deeply grateful for those who responded when I shared the call.
In addition, another global movement officially launched in April—though it had been incubating for over eight months. During that time, I worked alongside global leaders in public health to strategically develop a platform supporting non-clinical public health and environmental health professionals—providing equitable access to high-level professional development and mentorship for their next level.
The Global Public Health Connect Network is now coming to life, and I am incredibly grateful for the faithful friends and colleagues who have stepped forward to build this vision together. I am excited for what we will continue to create in this space.
I remain deeply humbled and profoundly grateful that I never despised humble beginnings. Truly—look at what the Lord has done!

𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟵 (𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴...) | 👓 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 & 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗜 𝗮𝗺: One of my absolute favorite roles in life is being a Coach—helping others discover, design, and fulfill their wildest dreams by translating life’s hardest lessons into stepping stones for success. But after 30 years of navigating different spaces and mentoring others, I’m putting on a brand-new pair of glasses. I’m doing some deep, intentional reflection on what mentorship looks like in my next season.
When I look back on my own journey, I realise how incredibly blessed I have been to have unofficial mentors—some who didn’t even know they were mentoring me. Through their presence, their intentional advice, and their willingness to give me a leg up, they helped shape me into a better person. They taught me how to recognise opportunities and, more importantly, how to pay it forward with honour.

At the same time, let’s be honest: many people will eagerly receive every drop of wisdom, time, and energy you offer, yet struggle to reciprocate or express genuine gratitude.
I’ve come to recognize what I call the “10 L***r Syndrome.”
Leaders can pour their heart, network, and soul into people, only to watch them disappear the moment they “make it.” No thank you. No acknowledgment. No reflection on the shoulders that lifted them there.
This lack of honor is deeply discouraging—and one of the key reasons many powerful mentors eventually close their doors. Because I understand the value of the doors opened for me, I have no patience for those who forget what they’ve received before they’ve fully arrived. Moving forward, my mentorship is rooted in mutual honor.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗜 𝗮𝗺: Cheering other people on gives me an incredible sense of purpose and power. It reminds me that everyone’s ship doesn’t come in at the same time. I am immensely blessed to have a family that acts as my most committed fan base. My siblings and my late mother always showed up for me, and if you check my socials, my vast ocean of extended family members are constantly checking in to celebrate my work.

In a world where people will literally judge you just for showing up and being yourself, having a "home crowd" means everything. My message isn’t always palatable to everyone, so having people who love me in-season and out-of-season keeps me grounded. This is exactly why I do my best to loudly celebrate others, even for their smallest wins. By joyfully celebrating your success, I’m signaling to the universe that I am aligned with people winning—which naturally clears the path for my own blessings to flow.

𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟳 (𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴...) | 📝 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿: 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗜 𝗮𝗺: I have been blessed with the innate ability to write. It started with childhood poems, which evolved into songs and stories in my teens (mostly love stories! 😂). In fact, I wrote my very first book at just 16 years old. However, my late mother found it, decided the storyline was far too mature for me, declared the world didn't need another Mills & Boon romance writer, and destroyed the manuscript!

❤️But you cannot extinguish a gift that God has placed inside you.❤️
I transitioned into deep journaling, capturing my life and spiritual experiences. Years later back in Jamaica, colleagues would tease me that if they gave me a half-page assignment, I’d hand back a literal epistle! 😀 Looking back, I realise that was just the fire inside me fighting to find expression. That passion eventually channeled into scientific literature, fueling a prolific track record of over 70+ global publications as a non-academic public health expert.

Authoring my books was the natural progression of my life’s work. My first book, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲: 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲, was born during COVID-19 to help professionals merge faith with career excellence. My latest book, 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘀 - 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿, is a labour of love that bundles the exact strategies I use as a Career Reignite Specialist and Life Coach to help others fulfill their purpose. Who I am: God has given me a unique gift to help people connect with their purpose. Time and time again, I’ve been the person placed in a position to open doors to lasting relationships, professional engagements, and everyday miracles.

Recently, a friend confessed to me that she and another mutual friend had been "gossiping" about me. When they got together, they realised they were both sharing how much of a blessing I had been to them, and how the connection I facilitated between them had grown into something incredibly fruitful. This is just one of countless connections I’ve watched materialise over the years.

If you understand the Law of Circulation, you know exactly how this works. As my dear friend Maxine always says: "𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶!"

I believe this with all my heart, which is why I refuse to keep my hands or my heart closed. When you hoard your network, your knowledge, or your resources, you inadvertently close off the pipeline for good things to flow back to you. The next time you have the opportunity to benefit someone else by introducing them to the right person, don’t shrink back. Create that ripple so the universe has something to work with on your behalf.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗜 𝗮𝗺: 𝗜 am a singer, songwriter, recording artist, actress, and more. Since 2019, I’ve released 13 singles and a 14-song album—not bad at all for a self-published artist! My songs bring me comfort, draw me near to God, and soothe my deepest desires like nothing else. But my music isn't just for religious spaces; it has opened doors in the secular marketplace, too.

There is nothing quite like a song, or a conversation about a song, to bring like-minded creatives together. I am incredibly grateful not just for the gift to write, but to sing. I don’t just love standing on a stage... I love singing. A song is a great tool in the right mouth! 😂

Who I am: In 2014, I became a wife and a mother. It has been the most difficult assignment I’ve undertaken so far. But through it, my heart has expanded 100-fold, my patience 10,000-fold, and I've learned to love in a new dimension I never imagined. I am so thankful for my husband and kids who support me to do what God called me to do—and I'm thankful I fully embraced my singleness before this chapter, because I am reaping the rewards now!
