Yesterday at the 12th Persian Film Festival, Amin Palangi said:
“In times of war and uncertainty, keeping the spirit alive becomes an act of resistance.
Iranian people continue to carry burdens beyond their control, facing a system that silences, imprisons, and takes lives without hesitation. And yet, what stood stronger than fear was something else: hope.
A culture that refuses to disappear.
A voice that refuses to be silenced.
Cinema becomes more than storytelling, it becomes survival. Every frame holds poetry, but also resilience.
As long as filmmakers continue to create with courage,
this spirit will remain alive.”
And watching Cutting Through Rocks, you could feel it, alive in every frame.
