The data doesn’t lie.
The Australian Wine Sector has a serious imbalance.
Frankly, I’m tired of seeing posts based on awareness, with no consideration of what we’re doing to correct it.
Yes, it can feel overwhelming.
Yes, it’s bloody hard to go up against certain cultures & mindsets.
But YES, it’s worth it.
For the those of us living & breathing additional challenges just to go to work every day and for the future of those to come.
The data ALSO shows us that by addressing imbalances, by growing inclusive teams, it’s for business outcomes, too! Think better collaboration, improved customer service, higher levels of innovation, greater employee satisfaction, all the things we need now, more than ever as a sector.
The Australian Wine Industry Gender Equality Toolkit was developed by and gender equality researchers to provide the tools to get you started.
