One of THE busiest National Park campgrounds in NSW and it’s only 35mins away from us ❤️

We absolutely love this place and have many more sites booked in the next few months.

We made this one pretty damn memorable, the new to us Expanda lost a wheel with a damn brand new tyre on it and all on our 1st trip away !!

We managed to find 4 of the 6 wheel nuts but the wheel is still MIA!!

Of course, this started the weekends wheelie bad jokes off!!

Saturday morning we set off on the 4.5km Headland walk, mind you I carried Addy on my back. I soon realised I’m bloody unfit! With a few stops to catch a breath and watch a whale frolic in the ocean we made it back fill for a heard earned beverage.

The rest of the day consisted of taking the p**s outta Dan (me), swims, sitting by the fire and being in bed by 8:30pm.

We are so happy to be out and about again where we love it!

I guess you could say we’ve fallen off the face of the earth!!

Just quietly we have been doing A LOT away from here.

We have sold our 1st caravan that we loved so so much.
With Addy’s needs we required a van with an ensuite. As many know, staying at caravan parks you wear thongs when showering so who’s going to place their child on the floor!!

But don’t worry, we have recently purchased something that fits us so much better! Currently getting worked on and ready for lots more adventures now the weather is warming up.

Addy is cracking along with her goals and development. Most weeks there might be one day that she doesn’t have an appointment or therapy. Then there is 2days a week she attends preschool and is acing it!! All the staff, families and children absolutely adore her.

Rach feels like a taxi driver most of the time but, if it wasn’t for her advocation, planning, book keeping and motherly instinct to excel, Addy wouldn’t be at the level she is at now!

Time is getting away! We can’t change that so we need to utilise the time we have much much more!

We can always make more money, fact! But we cannot make more time!

Everyone has the same 24hrs on the clock, use it or lose it.

Keep a watch for more posts coming soon, tips and tricks as a grease monkey and most important of all, adventures!

Cheers

Dan 👌🏽

🌞FRASER ISLAND - AUSTRALIAS LARGEST SAND ISLAND🌞

We've been a bit quiet on here. This post is a tad late. Life has just been kicking our butts lately! Kids in hospital , kids in theatre , sick kids you name it.

We had an amazing time while on Fraser - definitely could have stayed a few extra days.

As soon as we got off the barge it was absolutely flogging down rain. Our entrance into the camp was a bit of an experience. Not sure how we made it in there without getting bogged or rolling the van. But we managed just fine and really made us realise what you can put a caravan through and the places you can go.

We only had that one first day of rain and after that we had beautiful days.

We saw plenty of dingos. All very curious and just looking for food.

If you've ever been to Fraser island you would know just how beautiful and clear Eli creek is. We lost count on how many times we ended up here just floating down the creek on blow up floaty rings. I think this was everyone's favourite spot.

Add this beautiful island to your places to visit! You won't regret it👌

FLANAGAN RESERVE - QLD

28 acres of bush camping to choose from. Located on the logan river in mount barney national park.

On our trip north we wanted to stay somewhere half to our destination to break the trip up with the kids , half way was the gold coast and it was super expensive ($130) just for a night on a site in a caravan park. A friend mentioned flanagans to us as they had recently stayed there.

This meant taking a little bit of a different route to get there, so we thought why not!

From Grafton we headed inland to casino and then to Kyogle and continued up the Summerland way and across the border towards Beaudesert, this worked out to be the same distance as going up the highway to the goldcoast anyway.

Once we arrived at Flanagan reserve we were able to choose anywhere within the 28 acres to set up camp for the night.

It cost us $36 for the night for a family of 5. There are no powered sites.

There is flushing toilets and hot showers (20c per minute) and there is a trailer located near the main office for your rubbish.

There is also a little shop if youd like to call it that where you check in and you can purchase ice cream, lollies and coffees.

Fire drums are placed absolutely everywhere and they ask that you use them and not your own. Fire wood is $17 for a wheelbarrow and it was great wood!!

Depending on where you set up camp the beautiful rapids and swimming hole are within walking distance.

Such a beautiful spot , were so glad we stayed🥰

Happy Birthday To This Guy!!

All our adventures wouldn't be possible without him. He drives us around the country side , sets up and packs up the caravan, Carries miss Adalyn in her hiking carrier on his back for kms on end.

He's a wonderful husband & dad.

Have you ever wondered about all the equipment needed to take travelling when your child has a severe disability?

Well here's the things we need
- walking frame
- special pram
- chair and cut out table for eating and playing
- hiking carrier

If our child was a typical almost 3 year old we would need none of this.

A few months ago we got a GVM upgrade to our car and this was one of the big reasons.
There is a lot of weight to all this stuff. Much heavier than your average pram.

Most people would look at all this and think stuff that and probably avoid camping all together! Yeah it's tough sometimes but really we don't know any diffrent and we make it work.

Not sure what this will all look like when she's older and bigger but anything to give our little girl a beautiful life.

We've recently received a few comments (in person) and messages from people saying how we inspire them to get out and about. They see us with all this stuff and how easy we make it look and if we can manage so can they. ❤️

🌞What A Weekend!!🌞

Ocean swims , walks , rock climbing & relaxing with a side of sunburn🤣

The eldest two kids drove us completely bat s**t crazy this weekend but it's worth it to have a beautiful time away!

How awesome have the days been! We cannot wait to spend our spring and summer doing this!

Hope the weather is this great when we head north to QLD in 3 weeks time.

P.S how good is it when you don't pack up on a Sunday morning and come home👌

It's been a minute since we've been out exploring. Weather, family life, sickness.

We are forever progressing forward though. Few mods done on the van to create extra space.

Heading back to K'gari in under 4 weeks WITH the van in tow! The last trip wasn't so nice!

We absolutely need the break and are sooo keen to do our 1st bigger trip with the Jayco!

We have thought of selling it and getting something with an ensuite to assist with Adalyn but..... We are putting that on hold for a while.

Enjoy your Sunday evening all!!

Dan ✌️
