We will be closed on Friday 29th September, 2023 for the funeral of John “Cracker” McDonald AM. We will be back on deck on Tuesday 3rd October.

♥️ We gather tomorrow (Friday 29 September) to bid our final farewell to a beloved member of our community, my Dad, John ‘Cracker’ McDonald AM.

As we honour his memory, we invite you to join us in a special procession that pays tribute to his deep connection to Toowoomba.

Dad was not only a dedicated figure in the world of rugby league but also a pillar of our community, closely tied to his family businesses, McDonald and Rosbrook and Cracker Print and Paper.

His commitment to these reflected his enduring love for our city.

On Friday, at approximately 12:45 pm a funeral procession, led by the Queensland Police Service, will guide Dad on his last journey.

The procession will commence at the Toowoomba Sports Ground, proceeding west on Campbell Street and head south on Ruthven Street, passing by the location of his former and current business.

Dad's choice to remain in Toowoomba while commuting to Brisbane and Sydney showcased his unwavering affection for our city.

He proudly proclaimed Toowoomba as his home, and now, it is only fitting that we come together to bid him a final farewell by passing his businesses, where he invested so much of himself.

Let us unite as a community to pay our respects to a man who held Toowoomba close to his heart.

John McDonald's legacy will forever be etched in the tapestry of our city, and he will be dearly missed.

Thank you for your support during this difficult time.

Please be reminded friends and well-wishers are invited to join us in bidding a fond farewell to our beloved 'Cracker'.

📅 Funeral Date: Friday, September 29
⏰ Time: 11:00 AM
📍 Location: Clive Berghofer Stadium (The Athletic Oval)

Your presence and support mean the world to us during this time of remembrance and reflection.

Let's come together to celebrate the remarkable life of an even more extraordinary human.

Thank you for sharing in our love and memories. 💙

♥️ Feel free to wear a splash of Maroon!
