Big thanks to Simone and Zen for trusting me with a website refresh for SRG Automotive and Marine πŸš—βš“

These two run the kind of workshop Townsville actually needs. The ones where you talk to the mechanic, not a front desk. Cars, fleet, diagnostics, the tough jobs other shops won't touch.

Diagnosed. Fixed. Done.

New site's live and doing them justice. Go have a look πŸ‘‡

Fair question - you're not hiring me to guess.

Before I post a thing: we talk properly, I do my homework on your industry and competitors, and you see everything before it goes live. Month one shows us what lands, then we lean into it.

The goal isn't posting at your business. It's people seeing your content and thinking "yep, that's them" - just on a day you had time and knew exactly what to say.

That's the job.

Want to see what works for you? Send me a message.

✨ A gentle reminder for all the small business owners juggling all the things:
You do not need to post every day to be successful.

Consistency matters, yes β€” but so does rest, creativity, and running your actual business. πŸ’›

Sending you coffee, energy and a good night’s sleep.

I get asked this a lot: "But do you get my industry?"

Honest answer: maybe not. I haven't worked in every industry - nobody has.

But after ecommerce, real estate, churches, massage therapists and everything between, here's what I know: I'm not hired for encyclopaedic industry knowledge. I'm hired because I know how people buy - and people buy the same way everywhere. They need to notice you, trust you, remember you.

The industry stuff? I go get it. Questions, competitor stalking (professional), figuring out what your customers actually care about - before I write a word.

The strategy part is what you can't teach. That's what I bring.

So jump off the fence. Send me a message, tell me what you do, and I'll tell you honestly if I can help.

I asked my client how he racks up so many 5-star reviews. His answer humbled me a little πŸ˜…

No secret. No funnel. Just: do good work, ask while they're still buzzing, and make it stupidly easy for them to say yes.

That's it. That's the whole strategy.

Most businesses nail the "do good work" bit, then go shy on the ask. You hope they'll leave a review on their own β€” they won't. They're not busy loving you less, they're just busy.

And when you do ask? Send. The. Link. Every extra step is where good intentions die πŸ’€

Your happy customers already have that 5-star review in their head. Go ask for it 🫢

Ever wondered why that post you were so proud of got crickets, but you still got an enquiry that week? πŸ‘€

Swipe through, because this one might change how you think about your content forever ➑️

Here's the truth: nobody buys on the first touch. Not from you, not from anyone. Think about the last thing YOU bought that actually mattered β€” you probably saw it a few times before you pulled the trigger, right?

Your customers are doing the exact same dance. That "quiet" post from last week? It could've been touchpoint number 5 of 7 for someone who's about to enquire.

Consistency isn't about going viral. It's about being the business that's still there when they're finally ready to say yes πŸ™Œ

Tag a business owner who needs to hear this today πŸ‘‡

Okay but can we just sit in this for a second? πŸ₯ΉπŸ’›

Getting feedback like this is exactly why I do what I do. Building a website for Highfields Church of Christ wasn't just about making something that looks good β€” it was about creating a space online that actually feels like them, and makes it easy for their community to connect.

Hearing that it's hit the mark? That's the good stuff right there.

To every client who trusts me with their online presence β€” thank you.

Reviews like this make every late-night tweak and "just one more revision" worth it πŸ˜…βœ¨

Once upon a time, my answer to everything was socials.

New business? Socials. No customers? Socials. Existential dread? Have you tried Reels?

And look β€” I run a social media business. I'm not about to tell you it doesn't matter. But here's what nobody tells you when you're starting out:

You'll get told to "post on socials and build a website" like it's step one. It's not. It's step three, maybe four.

Before that? People need to know you exist. In real life. Your first customers probably won't come from a perfectly curated grid β€” they'll come from a chat at a market stall, a referral from someone you met at a local business event, a mate-of-a-mate who heard you're the person for the job.

Socials amplify what's already working. They don't replace the groundwork.

So yes, I've become that person. Network. Make connections. Talk to actual humans in your actual town.
(And then post about it. Obviously. I haven't changed that much.)

Hot take: AI just made YOUR marketing more valuable. Let me explain πŸ‘‡

In 2026, anyone can generate 30 captions in 30 seconds. Which means feeds are drowning in content that's technically fine and completely forgettable. Same tone. Same stock-y visuals. Same nothing.

And the marketing experts agree. The biggest challenge now is standing out in a world where AI has made content creation incredibly easy, and the advantage is shifting to businesses that show up with real authenticity and genuine expertise.

Translation? The stuff AI can't fake just became your superpower:

πŸ“Έ Real photos of your real team
πŸ—£ Your actual voice and opinions
🀝 The local relationships behind your business

That's why I still pack the camera and turn up in person for client shoots. (Yes, I use AI as a tool β€” I'm not a dinosaur πŸ˜„ β€” but the strategy, the voice, and the faces? Always real.)

The businesses that win this year won't out-post the robots. They'll out-human them.

Raise your hand if your "marketing time" is whatever's left at 9pm after quotes, invoices, and actual client work πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ

You're not alone. 56% of small business owners have an hour or less per day for marketing. ONE hour. To plan content, write it, design it, post it, reply to comments, check what's working, and somehow also "be consistent." (BizIQ)

No wonder it's not happening.

Here's the truth nobody says out loud: you don't have a discipline problem. You have a capacity problem. There is no version of running a small business solo where you also magically have time to be your own marketing department.

The fix isn't waking up at 5am to batch reels. It's deciding marketing is a job, and giving that job to someone whose whole day is your one hour.
