Some jobs happen behind a desk.... Some have you standing in the freezing cold at the Harvey Norman Centre, camera in hand.

That was Clay early this morning, out there capturing content for our client Wagner Corporation, who got behind a very good cause.

Their General Manager of Property Development, Brad, volunteered to be hung out to dry to help raise funds for Toowoomba Hospice.

We love this part of the job.

Not just creating content from the office, but getting out into the community, backing our clients, and helping tell the stories that matter to the region.

It was also great to catch up with Kellie from Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport, and David Janetzki MP, Treasurer of Queensland, Minister for Energy, and Minister for Home Ownership.

We’re proud to work with local businesses that show up for their community, and we’re always glad to be there to support them, even when the weather is doing its best to make us earn it.

International Donut Day gave us the perfect excuse to support one of our local favourites, G Free Donuts Toowoomba.

Their warm, cinnamon-coated donuts made a pretty quick impression on the Little Pig Consulting team.

The day itself has a meaningful history too. It began in 1938, when The Salvation Army in Chicago created it to honour the women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I.

We love any excuse to celebrate the small moments in the office, especially when it means backing a great local business at the same time.

Big thanks to G Free Donuts for the treat.

If you have not tried them yet, they are well worth it.

Have you had G Free Donuts before, or do you have another local favourite we should add to the list?

Last week, Emma and Clayton had the opportunity to work with the team at ST8wide Electrical and Think Water Toowoomba to facilitate a Vision, Mission and Values workshop.

A strong Vision, Mission and Values framework provides direction, aligns decision-making and helps shape workplace culture.

By involving the entire team in the process, these statements become more than words on a wall—they become a shared commitment. The result is greater ownership, stronger buy-in, valuable perspectives from across the business and a more connected team.

Thank you to the ST8 Wide Electrical and Think Water Toowoomba team for your openness, ideas and contributions throughout the workshop.

What a pleasure it was to attend the annual FACETS Art Show at Fairholme College on Friday evening.

The exhibition was a wonderful showcase of the incredible artistic talent we have here in our region, with an impressive collection of works created by both emerging and established artists.

Congratulations to all of the artists who exhibited their work, and especially to those who were recognised with awards on the night. Your creativity and talent continue to enrich our community and inspire others. 🎨✨

"When will there be a reduction or review of payroll tax for our region?"

That was one of the questions Clayton put to Queensland’s Minister for Customer Services and Open Data and Minister for Small and Family Business, Steve Minnikin, at Wednesday’s Small Business Lunch at Fitzy’s.

It’s a question plenty of regional business owners are still asking, because payroll tax isn’t a side issue. It affects growth, hiring, and the day-to-day pressure of running a business properly.

The afternoon brought together local business owners for honest discussion about the current business landscape and the challenges facing regional Queensland businesses.

For us at Little Pig Consulting, that’s the value of being in the room. We don’t want to guess what business owners care about. We want to hear it properly, from the people living it every day.

Staying involved in the local business community isn’t a box to tick for us. It keeps us connected, keeps us sharp, and keeps our work grounded in what local businesses are actually dealing with.

Big thanks to Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce and Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise for hosting the event.

We’re always glad to be part of conversations that matter and to back local business where we can.

📸 Thanks to Kat from Foodie Shots for the photos.

Running a business is busy. There’s always another phone call to make, another email to answer or another job to get done.

That’s why it meant so much when Michael from took time out of his day to simply stop in, say hello, check in on us and drop off some fresh doughnuts for the team.

Clayton really appreciated the opportunity to chat with a fellow business owner about business, life, and the realities of running your own show.

Sometimes it’s the simple gestures that remind you how important community and connection really are.

(And yes… the donuts were very well received by the staff too.)

As Chippy from 000PC PTY LTD says - Send in the girls if you actually want things done 😉

This morning, Emma, Shefali & Ayu teamed up with Chippy and Andrew to shoot some fresh content, and let’s just say, it was equal parts productive and fun. 🎥✨

With both Clayton and Emma having a background in teaching, one of our superpowers is presenting workshops.

Last night, we delivered Making Your Practice Visible as part of the Darling Downs & West Moreton PHN Practice Manager Development Program.

We worked with practice managers both in the room and online, sharing practical marketing insights, tools of the trade, and building confidence around how to strengthen their clinic’s visibility and connection to the community.

The focus was simple. Keep it practical. Keep it usable.

Everyone walked away with knowledge and skills they can start implementing straight away.

A big thank you to the team at Rural Medical Education Australia for giving us the opportunity to share our knowledge and skills.

A bolder website isn’t a louder website.

If it stops feeling like the business, you’ve traded trust for polish.

For OBrienco Transport, the goal was a site that matched their transition and growth in the transport industry, without losing that established, reliable feel.

So we leaned into what was already theirs.

Bold brand colours, used with confidence.

And real videography + photography, so the brand association is instant.

No stock images. No generic “transport” vibes.

What you see on the website is what you see when you deal with the team at OBrienco.

OBrienco | Built on reliability. Driven by excellence.
