One week to go.

When we submitted our application for this year’s Toowoomba Chamber Business Excellence Awards, we had 60 seconds to capture what Round Square Marketing is all about.

Thirteen years of building a business, growing a team, backing our region and doing work we are genuinely proud of is difficult to fit into one minute.

But this comes pretty close.

Next week, we’ll be walking into the Business Excellence Awards as a finalist in the Creative Industries category, alongside some brilliant local businesses.

For now, here’s the 60 seconds that helped tell our story.

Wish us luck. 🤞

A pretty special one to be part of. 🤍

We recently joined the Clayton’s Organic Beef team on-farm as they welcomed RB Sellars for their Father’s Day campaign.

For us, the best part of shoots like this is seeing a brand story come to life in a way that feels completely natural. This one was all about family, legacy and the next generation, with Clayton and Jackie sharing the business they’ve built and Harry and Jake stepping further into what comes next.

A great day behind the scenes helping to shape the Clayton’s story as it reaches a wider audience.

At the end of August, Toowoomba welcomed back a local icon: Clifford the Bee. 🐝
And if you’re going to bring back a character with this much history, you may as well give him a proper homecoming.

Working collaboratively with the Clifford Gardens in-centre marketing team, RSM helped coordinate a return designed to get Clifford back out into the community and back into people’s memories.

So Clifford went on tour.
The Empire Theatre.
Picnic Point.
Queens Park.
And a few familiar Toowoomba stops along the way.

Along the way, some very talented local creatives joined the campaign, helping turn Clifford’s return into something people could see, share and be part of.

Since then, he’s been busy doing what Clifford does best: making people smile, posing for plenty of photos and reminding Toowoomba why this little bee became such a local icon in the first place.

Because bringing back a much-loved brand character is not just about nostalgia.
It is about creating a moment people want to talk about.

And we think Clifford’s comeback did exactly that. 🐝 💛

Some projects are just fun to be part of.

On Saturday, our Creative Manager Hugh swapped the RSM desk for the sidelines, jumping in alongside the team at Ardent House to help capture the annual O’Callaghan Cup for Toowoomba Grammar.

One of Toowoomba’s great schoolboy rugby rivalries, a packed sideline and plenty happening on and off the field. Exactly the kind of environment where good content comes to life.

We love seeing talented local creatives collaborate, share skills and get stuck into projects like this.

A big thanks to Ardent House for having RSM on board, and to Toowoomba Grammar for trusting the team to capture such a significant day in the school calendar.

Safe to say Hugh was very happy behind the camera. 🎥 🏉

Your website isn’t being read.

It’s being scanned.

People skim. They land, glance, grab what they need and go. If the important thing isn’t obvious in a few seconds, they’ll miss it, and then they’ll leave.

Don’t panic. You just need to write your website differently.

Stop trying to say everything at once. Start making the essentials impossible to miss.
Headings that stand on their own.

Information hierarchy that puts the most important stuff at the top.

One idea per section, bolstered by visuals.

A clear next step.

Most website visitors are top of funnel but warm. They’re curious, not convinced.
Your job isn’t to win them over in one glance. It’s to guide their journey through the page and make the next click effortless.

Write for scanners, not readers.

That’s the website that works.

Ten years in Toowoomba, a new showroom, and a business ready for its next chapter.

When Floorworld Toowoomba moved into a bigger, better showroom late last year, they engaged RSM to help elevate their social media presence and make sure their marketing matched the standard of the business.

For a brand like Floorworld, social media is not just about posting products. It is about staying visible, building familiarity and making sure the business is front of mind when people are ready to renovate, build or refresh their home.

Since partnering with Floorworld Toowoomba, our work across Facebook and Instagram has generated more than 1.56 million views, 9,100 link clicks, 8,100 visits and 7,700 content interactions.

For a local flooring and interiors business, that kind of visibility matters.

Because good marketing is not just about being seen.

It is about being remembered when the timing is right.

Proud to support Floorworld Toowoomba as they continue building on ten strong years in the region.

Content pillars are one of the simplest ways to make your social media more strategic.

They give your content structure by defining the key topics your brand should consistently be known for.

That might include education, customer stories, behind-the-scenes content, industry insights, products or services, or team and culture.

The important part is that each pillar has a purpose.

Some content builds trust. Some demonstrates expertise. Some creates connection. Some supports a buying decision. And some is designed to sell.

When those roles are clear, content becomes much easier to plan and your feed becomes far less reactive.

Instead of asking, “What should we post this week?”, you can start asking, “Are we showing up consistently across the topics that matter to our audience and our business?”

That is the difference between simply posting and having a content strategy.

Save this one for your next content planning session.

BioHub Solutions came to us ready to do things differently.

In an industry often crowded with big claims and technical language, their goal was to challenge the status quo with data, hard facts and genuine education.

For BioHub, it’s not about making growers or agronomists feel like they should already know the answers. It’s about giving them the information and confidence to ask better questions, understand what’s happening in the field and make more informed decisions.

Our role has been to bring that thinking into their marketing.

From strategy and social media to digital ads, email campaigns and collateral, we’ve helped translate complex agricultural science into content that feels clear, purposeful and credible.

A big part of that is taking the research findings within the BioPlan Journal and breaking it down into digestible content that growers and agronomists can actually use.

Because when your brand is built on evidence, your marketing should be too.

BioHub is doing things differently in Australian agriculture, and we’re proud to help tell that story. 🌱
