New Releases December 2025
Hello everyone,
Welcome to 2026, a new year, that hopefully will be a great one for everyone.
It's been a while since I last posted here so I thought I would give you an update on the songs I released in December 2025.
There were many subjects that grabbed my attention and overall, from a song point of view, there was a generally serious tone to the music.
A bit of looking back into my childhood, commentary on the happenings of the world, and celebrations of loved ones past on.
Each song has a direct Youtube link and at the end there is a link to my "Current Releases" playlist, which is updated with all new songs, and older songs removed once they get more than 30 days old (with some exceptions).
This playlist is a quick way to keep up with my work, if your interested.
The Line That Took Me To The Troc
29/12/2025
The Line That Took Me To The Troc By Raymond P Reid (Razdus) is a cinematic coming-of-age story drawn from a real childhood journey in 1963 Melbourne. It follows a ten-year-old’s solo train rides from Altona to Footscray, the thrill of independence, shared adventures with a mate, and the magic of slipping into the Trocadero picture theatre. Through trains, newsreels, organ music, and small earned rewards, the song celebrates curiosity, courage, and the formative moments that shape who we become. It closes not in nostalgia, but in uplift — honouring the instinct to step forward and trust the journey.

Old Traits Lost, But the Heart Remains the Same
28/12|2025
“Old Traits Lost, But the Heart Remains the Same” by Raymond P Reid (Razdus) is a warm, reflective Australian folk-rock ballad told through the eyes of someone who has lived through change and learned to accept it.
With gentle humour, familiar slang, and a steady sense of decency, the song honours the values that shaped earlier generations while recognising how the world has evolved.
It’s not a protest or a lament, but a thoughtful celebration of kindness, fairness, and quiet resilience — a reminder that while customs and language may shift over time, the heart of who we are can still endure.

I Died Here, Still Walking Rome
25/12/2025
“I Died Here, Still Walking Rome” is a cinematic, ghost-voiced reflection by Raymond P Reid (Razdus) on memory, history, and presence, inspired by a night walking tour through Rome’s haunted streets. Told from the perspective of a spirit who never truly left, the song guides the listener through ancient squares, shadowed lanes, bridges of judgment, and silent prisons where the past still breathes. Rather than fear, it offers quiet companionship — a reminder that history walks beside us, asking only to be remembered. Atmospheric, restrained, and deeply human, the song invites listeners to step softly, listen closely, and feel the weight of stories carried in stone.

How Could This Happen Here
22/12|2025
How Could This Happen Here By Raymond P Reid (Razdus) is a quiet, cinematic folk ballad that reflects on collective shock, loss, and the fragile sense of safety we often take for granted. Rather than recounting events, the song pauses in the aftermath, asking gentle questions about identity, compassion, and how a community chooses to move forward.
Built on sparse instrumentation, open space, and restrained vocals, the song allows silence to carry as much weight as the words. It is a reflective piece that honours grief without sensationalism, offering listeners a moment to breathe, remember, and consider who we are in difficult times.

Cognitive Overload
10/12/2025
“Cognitive Overload” is a reflective soft-rock journey into the quiet battles the mind fights when pushed beyond its limits. Written by Raymond P. Reid (Razdus) and produced by Sharray Media, the song captures the late-night struggle of an overworked inner engine — holding on through broken sleep, rising stress, drifting thoughts, and the slow search for clarity.
With its spacious ambience, steady rhythm and intimate vocal delivery, “Cognitive Overload” reveals the determination that lives inside all of us: the part that keeps turning, keeps repairing, and keeps pushing through the storm.
It’s a song for anyone who has ever faced mental fatigue, ageing, restless nights, or the weight of too many thoughts — and still found the strength to rise again.

Will You Learn To Walk
Softly Again?
8/12/2025
“Will You Learn to Walk Softly Again?” is a haunting, Dreaming-influenced poetic song written by Raymond P Reid (Razdus). Told entirely from the perspective of the land itself, the song traces Australia’s journey from ancient harmony, through first contact, to a modern world shaped by many cultures. Blending ambient folk textures with the spirit of Country, this piece is a stirring reflection on memory, change, resilience and the shared responsibility to protect the place we all call home.
