Dodola Island best fish dish! When this lovely lady offered to show me her esky of freshly caught fish, I could not resist. Cooked over wood coals with a touch of salt and smothered in a tomato & chilli just before serving. definately up there with the best fish I have ever had the pleasure of tasting! The search for genuinely authentic and epic Indonesian chicken satay was fulfilled tonight, on the streets of Tobelo, on Halmahera! What a pleasure to see these two young satay masters giving that chicken some charcoal love! The singe was just right, the sauce sticky, sweet and pea nutty.A squeeze of lime and some rice to soak up every bit of saucy goodness created my tastiest Indo satae experience so far… Nice people too!
