It’s been a while since I properly introduced myself, so hi 👋 I’m Hannah 💖

I run Sugar Shot Studio, based in Widgee in the Gympie region and I photograph women who are done being an afterthought and want to feel spectacular. Whether it’s bold or soft, dramatic or intimate, I’m here for all of it.

I have a studio with a growing collection of incredible gowns and fabrics, a disco ball collection, and strong opinions about colour.

Fun facts:

* I’m a mum to three kids, one girl and two boys
* I’ve been a wife to my loving husband for almost 14 years
* I grew up on farms (hay first, then cattle).
* I’ve been a graphic designer since 2007.
* I’m a fifth generation photographer (it’s been in the family since 1908.)
* Massive Lord of the Rings extended edition nerd.
* I’m always listening to a true crime or photography podcast or blasting Twenty One Pilots.
* I smashed my face on a cattle grid when I was 8 and now I have a fake tooth. I’ll let you figure out which one it is 😉
* Currently rewatching Criminal Minds for the fourth time and I regret nothing.
* Growing up, I wanted to be a vet, a jillaroo or a brangus stud cattle farmer.
* I love colouring in & jigsaw puzzles

There’s something about old photographs that gets me every time.

This photo belongs to my mother-in-law’s family. It had been sitting in an album for decades, cut into a decorative shape and slowly fading with age. I restored it so it can be printed and shared properly again, and then colourised it so the family could see him a little more clearly.

To me, photo restoration is so much more than fixing scratches and tears. It’s about helping families keep their history and reconnect with their memories.

My last post about my email address drama was a while ago so I wanted to give you the latest.

My email was with a provider I was not happy with and it was causing a lot of drama with sending and receiving emails. I’ve since switched providers back to Gmail and now my email works! 🎉
