Most people avoid checking their super balance the same way they avoid checking their bank account after a big weekend. Not because they don't care. Because they already suspect what they'll find.
I ran the numbers myself eventually. What I'll have at retirement age isn't close to what I'll actually need to live on. No amount of overtime was going to close that gap. Neither was waiting another five years to look at it properly.
So instead of hoping it sorts itself out, I'm building something now that means I don't have to stress about that gap later. It's not finished. It's not perfect. But it's moving in the right direction, on purpose, instead of just hoping.

Doing some self reflection and realising I was putting too much value on my appearance rather than showing you guys whats on my heart. I want to encourage you today, if you feel like your appearance is stopping you from showing up the way you want to, ask yourself why you are letting it rule so much of your life.

Full disclaimer - I talk about my grey hair in this, and showing up as my authentic genuine self. By no means do I think dyed hair means you arent being genuine and authentic. If you want to change your hair colour, then I support you 100%! Showing up as you comes in many different shapes and forms, and for me, in this season, I am showing myself that I am more than my appearance, that I am worthy of love, respect and happiness regardless of what colour my hair is! I have been many different colours over the years, but I haven't let myself be natural in over 15 years 🤍 lets support one another in each season of our lives and remember kindness always

We all have those days where we wake up feeling not ourselves, but it doesn't have to define our whole day. Sometimes just stepping outside is enough of a reset to help change your mood. Today I saw an abundance of butterflies and birds flying about, a reminder that spring is here, and what an amazing thing it is to be alive today 🤍

I get it, I know what its like. The guilt of having to have your little one in care so you can help pay the bills. There is a better way, something you can build to get that time back. We have made it our mission to help as many families as we can get their time back. We know all too well how short life is, and we knew we didn't want to keep missing out on time with our boys. Most people think a day off is a day off. For a lot of us, it's a maths problem first. Do the numbers work if I don't show up today.

I spent years doing that calculation before I even called in sick. Weighing whether the rest was worth what it would cost me. That's not freedom. That's just a different kind of trap.

What changed things for me wasn't working harder or pushing through more sick days. It was building something that didn't ask me to choose between resting and getting paid.
