When business's decide to brand there are a few small tips that can help give your image that 'wow, professional' look rather than amateur and auto-generated.

Here are our biggest and best tips for designing in house!

1. Keep your logo detail free. Stick to large shapes that quickly and easily community the exact symbol you're hoping for.

2. Avoid obvious symbols! If you're a cafe, definitely don't make your logo a coffee bean. Trust us.

3. Stick to 2-3 colours and 2 fonts. It keeps it simple, and it keeps it consistent.

4. Bring your letters closer together. There's a slider for this on Canva ;)

5. Be MEMORABLE. Stop doing what everyone else is doing because it's safe, do what no one else has done and be the first business customers remember.

Or... you could also hire a brand designer, who will worry about all of this for you. But that's just our opinion 🙂‍↕️

Scaling a business comes down to building strong foundations.

And in our opinion those foundations include a functioning website, a strong Google Business profile and reviews from real customers.

Because before someone calls or buys from you they usually look for you online, first. That's when perception matters.

It doesn't matter how bad your thumbnail sketch might be, we can always see the vision.

Working with little stick people helped us navigate the posing and composition options when dealing with such a large cast of staff.

For Dejay'a 40th Year celebrations we were asked to illustrate a 6m long banner that included the face and likeness of every staff member, their equipment, and points of interactivity that the team could build on top of the flat design.

We were so honoured to have been trusted by with this project, and cant wait for what the future holds.

The illustration process isn't always a pretty one but it always culminates into an awesome rendition.
