Learning from the best doesn't mean copying; it means understanding the decisions that drive their work.
I recreated Van Gogh's "Starry Night" in Procreate to study his process: why he used specific brush strokes, how he created movement through colour shifts, and what makes cypress trees anchor the scene's chaos.
I similarly approach my design work. I research what has been successful, both locally and internationally, and then adapt those principles to fit regional businesses. My focus is not on templates or trends, but on the fundamental decisions that make something work.
Van Gogh's paintings did not sell until people began to understand his process through his letters, sadly, after his death. While the artwork itself didn't change, the context did.
This is what I aim to create for my clients: brands with a clear rationale behind every choice, ensuring that the work not only looks good but also makes sense.
