Launched today, a new brand and website for Dr Nita Bartlett - an Oncoplastic and General Surgeon in Townsville, QLD.
I love meeting medical professionals like Nita. It’s always so interesting to talk with people who are passionate about what they do. I really understood this in our brand strategy workshop; Nita not only provides excellent surgical skill, but she goes over and above to provide exceptional care for her patients and their families - human-to-human.
I wanted both of these things to be evident from her visual identity, as well as all of the copywriting throughout the website. It was important that the tone of voice be spot-on as well. When people are facing a cancer diagnosis, information is important, compassion paramount.
Together, we’ve built a highly informative site with tonnes of information on breast conditions and surgeries, as well as her general surgery practice.
A project highlight was Nita telling the story of how, in 1997, whilst one of two women studying to be accepted to the Royal College of Surgeons in the UK, the lecturer told them he didn’t know why they bothered being there at all. It was with his eyes averted that she accepted her admission a few months later. Hurrah Nita.
