One of the most exciting things you could ever ask me to do, is to style a photoshoot to promote your products. Michelle from in Rutherglen knew how she wanted to present her gorgeous candles but needed some help to get it just right.
Initially I just came to set up some sample shots, but Michelle was so delighted with the outcome that she insisted I take charge of the product photography! The dark and moody feel was created using a matte black backdrop and placing the products on Michelle’s dark timber workbench, in low natural lighting conditions. The props were mostly sourced locally, with some of the more interesting organic items collected over many years.
I can’t tell you how lovely it was to be in the shop and smell all the fragrances in person, you simply must go and delight your senses! Pictured below are my favourite shots from the collection of 20 fragrances that she plans to list on her new website, which is coming soon.
