Aubrey + Areegra

Aubrey + Areegra We are Aubrey + Areegra, a local advertising team with big agency thinking. We introduce brands to the locals. Local understanding + big agency thinking.

Aubrey + Areegra is a full service creative agency dedicated to delivering authentic brand messages to one of Australia’s most valuable target markets. Led by Kate Liersch and Karen Inkster, we bring a fresh approach to rural advertising. Delivering your message in an authentic way takes more than opinions and statistics about your demographic. Our local knowledge helps your brand messages have a

greater impact on the right people. From start to finish, we know what it takes to grow and nurture targeted brand campaigns. We also know about the latest community issues, what’s involved during harvest and, more importantly, who the decision makers are on the farm. When it comes to reaching regional customers, we’ve got you covered. Combining traditional advertising methods and new digital mediums, we are ready to spark new brand conversations with farmers. We never compromise on results. So, no matter how big the project, every creative ex*****on receives just the right amount of time and attention. When you work with Aubrey + Areegra, you gain access to our network of advertising professionals. It allows our expertise to extend beyond our team, and always deliver exactly what your campaign needs.

After nearly a decade... it’s time for a new chapter.

It’s been almost ten years of building Aubrey + Areegra, but the time has come for us to close the studio doors.

We’ve had the absolute joy of working with incredible clients on some of the most challenging, fun, and rewarding projects of our careers. We’ve hit the road right across the Wimmera Mallee and beyond, uncovering hidden gems, scouting locations, on the lookout for wind turbines or power lines, often with kids squashed in the backseat.

Along the way, we’ve not only grown a business, we’ve grown families too. Three babies, expanding farm businesses, navigating neurodivergence, wrangling healthcare, and living the eternal rural juggle of limited childcare. It’s been a beautiful, chaotic ride.

From egg farms to potato harvests, Lake Tyrrell to Mt Arapiles, we’ve been lucky to tell the stories of the region we love and it’s been an adventure we’ll treasure.

And finally, a huge thank you. Whether you’ve been a follower, a friend, a past client or a present one. We couldn’t have done it without you - Kate and Kazz

Working with Horsham Rural City Council, we created a short film and photos, a travel article and a visitor itinerary that captures the spirit of this incredible place.

This project was a true collaboration. Thank you to the locals who welcomed us in: Pat, Lisa and Noddy from the Historical Society, Bill and the team at the pub, Penny and Luke from Arapiles House, and artist Mel Obst, who shared her world with us.

And shout out to our dream crew Steph Hansen Productions, Greta Low, Jimmy Moignard and Whitney Kingston — we love creating with you.

🌾 Hear me out... what if we put Ag front and center in a big way 2025?

On a recent trip to Paris, I found myself totally inspired, but not by the usual suspects like art, fashion, or architecture. Nope, it was agriculture that stole the show!

It all started at the Musée Rodin, where I stood in front of Vincent Van Gogh’s « Les Moissonneurs » (The Harvesters) and couldn’t help but feel proud to be a farmer. The golden crops and rich textures left me looking forward to harvest. 🌾✨

But the real inspo came at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (.paris ), where I was blown away by Agnes Denes’ 1982 masterpiece « Wheatfield – A Confrontation. » 🌾 In the heart of Manhattan’s Battery Park landfill (valued at $4.5bn at the time), Denes planted a two-acre wheatfield. The photographs of golden wheat with the Statue of Liberty and the Twin Towers in the background were striking, highlighting the paradox between the urban and rural worlds.

Now, what if we brought that same power to Australia? Imagine a wheat crop growing in one of our most iconic locations, like Sydney’s Opera House, where people could watch it change and grow over 7 months. 🌾👀 It could spark curiosity and appreciation for the process of growing food.

I’m putting this wild idea out into the universe. 🌍 Could or help bring this vision to life? Imagine….

Recently we were thrown the challenge to produce a tourism campaign for Horsham Rural City Council. Tourism, it's our jam! We love sharing hidden gems in the Wimmera, Mallee and beyond.

This job was a quick turnaround and the target audience was FAMILIES, which involves filming and photographing CHILDREN.
Kids are great - we love them, but on tight deadlines and short shoot days, things can go wrong very quickly. It always ends in tears. Using this as a challenge, we flipped the brief and told the holiday from a kids' perspective. What is more important than park hangs and ice cream on a family holiday? So happy to say, ALL the kids were total legends and we got so much great footage.

And the voice-over, usually recorded by a professional in a sound booth - our little legend did the read in the back seat of the car (great acoustics FYI).

Thanks to everyone who helped on this on this job - we really appreciate it.

Woo hoo 🙌🙌 We are super excited to share a new tourism campaign for Visit Wimmera Mallee.

This Unearth Amazing campaign invites visitors to slow down and take their time. We've all heard of the Silo Art Trail but our region of Victoria offers much more for visitors who are prepared to scratch beneath the surface. Amazing experiences and characters make the Wimmera Mallee such a special place. Who better to share the best of our region than us as passionate locals? 🥰

So good to be working again with the team from Visit Wimmera Mallee to create a new campaign promoting the Wimmera and the Mallee as a tourism destination. Created around the insight that an affordable and unplugged holiday is exactly what families are craving post-COVID.

The campaign will see our television commercial aired across regional Victoria and South Australia for the next four weeks supported by some gorgeous social media content. Be sure to give a like, comment and share when you see it, we would love you to help share some of these stunning images - we are pretty damn proud of them.

We get to work with all sorts of ace people, thanks to all involved along the way David Field - Shooter Photos & Film and Ryley Katrina Sibley George Sibley Grace McLeod Tahli Haslam-Ockwell Malachy Lowry Meringa Springs Photography by Anne Morley Hardy Audio Lake Tyrrell Anna Johansson Ray Kingston - Mallee Agitator Visit Wimmera Mallee Yarriambiack Tourism Visit Hindmarsh Visit West Wimmera
