If you only have time for one Blue Mountains hike, make sure it’s this one 😍
📍Grand Canyon track
Lush rainforest, towering cliffs, waterfalls, and winding stone staircases… the track is STUNNING and arguably the best hike in the Blue Mountains.
How to get there:
Start from Evans Lookout, just 10 mins from Blackheath or 15 mins from Katoomba. There’s free parking and clear signage for the loop track.
Track details:
– 6.5km loop
– Grade 3 (moderate)
– Takes about 2.5–3.5 hours
What to bring:
– Plenty of water (at least 1.5L per person)
– Good hiking shoes (it can be slippery!)
– Snacks or lunch
– A rain jacket if the forecast looks dodgy
Tip 1: This track is best done clockwise so you can ease into the descent and finish with
stunning views from the top of the Blue Mountains. Prepare for lots of steps either way 😅
Tip 2: I always use All Trails to preview the hike but what is also great about it is that you can check the recent reviews to see what other people say about the track e.g if it’s really muddy or wet etc. It’s super helpful! 😎
