LET'S GET REAL FOR A MOMENT!

SIIMPL Studio has helped bring small businesses to life through our branding services for 2 years now.

We have operated 100% on referrals so far (How amazing is THAT!), so I wanted to extend my gratitude to those who not only invested in us, but also to those who love working with us so much that you trusted your friends, family and colleagues in our capable hands too!

In order for SIIMPL Studio to thrive, we hit the "PAUSE" button, to reflect on our journey thus far. To understand WHO we are, WHAT we do and WHERE we want to be.

We realise that 'nothing changes if nothing changes', so it was time to work ON the business, rather than just in it.
..Last month, SIIMPL Studio took a GIANT leap and enrolled in an intensive 8-week Business Bootcamp, working alongside my idol and dream mentor from - And while I know that things have been a little quiet lately (cue cricket sounds), BIG things are happening in the background and I can't wait to be 'back on the dance-floor' with you all.

We are honoured, nervous and every emotion in between... to be in a position where we can take tangible action to improve our creative offerings, but in order to run the business of our dreams, we must first 'learn to unlearn' the limiting beliefs, knowledge gaps and missing pieces of the puzzle that are holding SIIMPL Studio back from its full potential.

Rest assured, we are still actively working with clients in the background and have started taking on new bookings as of 1 November, so please consider us to help bring your amazing brand idea to life!

Every day that passes, we are learning, adapting and growing SIIMPL Studio into the creative business is was born to be. Things are about to get REAL around here, and we can't wait for you to all share our future success.

If you've worked with us or simply enjoy being a part of our community, we'd love to hear the 1 thing that you enjoyed about our (physical or online) experience together!

I want to let you in on a little secret… One of my guilty pleasures is designing stationary. I find the constraints of having a blank rectangular page in front of me very therapeutic - When working on ANY type of stationary (be it letterheads, envelopes, business cards etc.) I always challenge myself to deliver maximum impact with minimal design.

When working on branding projects that are geometric, it is CRITICAL that every element is perfectly aligned and spaced out (to the millimetre), otherwise it loses balance and symmetry, and automatically feels less visually appealing. To further amplify the premium quality of ABBA’s stationary, you’ll notice that I subtly embedded the logo pattern into the background of the page as well, which adds another layer of depth to the paper. I enjoy designing stationary so much, that I actually create all my own mock ups from scratch as well. I can’t wait to share tomorrow’s envelope design with you. I spent FAAAR too long trying to make it look like a real life envelope, but it turned out so well!

Do you have any stationary, journal or diary at home that you can’t live without?

For the website, I really wanted to deliver a clutter-free concept that let’s allows the beautiful imagery to take centre-stage. There’s no doubt that it still needs to feel on-brand, and the use of an abbreviated logo, together with the refined colour palette certainly ticks this box.

I’d love to know your thoughts below if this site works visually for you!

My client requested a brand that was BOLD, DISTINCT & EASILY-RECOGNISABLE.

I was asked to deliver a refined and sophisticated colour palette that had a ‘presence’ about it.

Nothing says BOLD like a classic black & white brand (my personal favourite!), but I love taking it one step further and delivering a variation of black & white tones that is specifically chosen for the clients brand.

To offset the classic black & white, I opted for a PUNCHY orange, which helps the brand be easily identifiable in the saturated market that it operates in.

What colours are you typically drawn to when thinking about a brand?

Today i'm sharing some exciting branding work that I’ve spent the last few weeks creating - I designed a brand for a Monaco-based architecture firm….. SORTA!

I entered a competition with well over 100 other designers for a chance to create a full brand identity for ABBA (Atelier Benjamin Boisson Architects), and although I had an honourable mention, unfortunately my concept was not selected as a finalist. I had a really strong branding concept that I was very confident in and am very proud of, so I decided to bring my vision to life anyway!

As a Brand Designer, I am perfectly happy to show both my passion projects together with my real client work, as both demonstrate my ability to communicate visual possibilities for clients that I wish to attract. I am really passionate about Architecture (Design and Photography), and hope that putting this project out into the world will hep me attract clients who love my design aesthetic!

I hope you enjoy this logo as much as I enjoyed making it! Stay tuned, there is plenty more of this coming in the next week!

I dreamed of working as a photographer since picking up my first camera at age 18. 📷

I was approached by to capture lifestyle & product images for their latest product releases, which as a Junior Designer with no professional photography experience both EXCITED 😃and terrified me! 😟

A TED talk I once watched by - ’Starting before you are ready’ inspired me to jump into the deep-end and just GO FOR IT 🤸‍♂️ instead of letting my crippling fear of failure and lack of experience hold me back. If you too are a creative that struggles with 'the unknown', this is a ‘must-watch!’

AND SO… Armed with my camera, 🎥YouTube tutorials, (MANY) Pinterest boards and my wild imagination, I accepted the challenge and got straight to work!

While a good portion of the images I shot were pretty hit & miss (any perfectionists out there feel my pain?), I persisted week after week, determined to succeed.

I ended up with a selection of images that I was really proud to share with the EVERYHUMAN community, and today I’m excited to show you my favourite 3 images too!

💬Is there one of these that you connect with the most?

EVERYHUMAN already had an incredibly engaging brand identity when I joined, so my focus during my 18 months working with Matt & Harry was on social media content development 📱and lifestyle / product photography 📷.

As a Brand Designer, I was naturally inspired to ‘put my own spin’ on the branding, so I developed my very own logo concept as a passion project - blending the existing logotype from the amazing 🤩with my own minimalist monogram.

NOTE: This logo was never used in any of their projects, but I still love the simplicity of it and wanted to share it with my online family!

I also included a my favourite web & mobile banners that I designed for various campaigns - How good did they turn out?! 😍

Do these banners make you feel like you’re part of a young, fun, and inclusive community, and would they inspire you to shop online?

🖌As a Brand Designer, my creative journey is in a constant state of growth - I wanted to take a moment and REWIND to 2019 🕗to reflect one of the most important (and my first full time) clients that I had the opportunity to work with -

👨‍🦽EVERYHUMAN are a small but rapidly growing online e-commerce platform that provide fun, functional and FASHIONABLE 💃adaptive clothing to Australians in need.

Matt & Harry took me under their wing to curate, design and implement fresh brand aesthetics to grow their social media presence 📊. As long as my designs were fun, engaging, and connected with their target audience, I was given the green light 🚦to fully explore my creative boundaries. As a ‘fresh out of college’ design graduate, I can’t express how empowering this was for me! 🥇😁

I had the opportunity to design with fashion-forward brands like Tommy Hilfiger Adaptive 🤩, and showcase young brand ambassadors with incredibly inspiring stories. 🥳

And while EVERYHUMAN is no longer a client of mine, I wanted to re-live a moment in time where I was constantly encouraged to bring the ideas in my head to life... SO Today I am sharing my very favourite social media posts 🤳that I created for them. You’ll see me rolling out a few more projects over the next few days, so stay tuned for those too! 💁

It's no secret that health companies choose 🟦to convey cleanliness, safety and responsibility and that organic brands use 🟩to reflect on nature and wholesomeness.

Colour plays such an important role in connecting with the clients of your dreams.

GOODBOY delivers helpful and easy-to-follow dog training tutorials for new dog owners.

By using bold and established colours like deep purple 🟪, combined with warmer pink tones 🌸, there is a nice harmony between a serious brand that still appeals to a younger demographic that likes to have fun. The final colour palette conveys of honesty, trust and reliability, but still has a sense of playfulness.
