People already struggle enough to differentiate between services online...
And, in truth, many Australian service companies have websites that look exactly like their competitors. With messaging that sounds exactly the same.
So how can people feel confident to choose?
You’ve got to give them a vibe!
An atmosphere.
A point of differentiation.
A gut feeling.
You need to give them a glimpse of the experience you’re promising, so they can feel, “okay, this is what I was looking for.”
That was the whole point of this redesign.
Our client was creating amazing experiences for people who are passionate about golf, taking them around the world to some of the best golf courses, from the US Masters to Vietnam, Dubai, New Zealand.
People were loving the tours, but the website wasn’t conveying the true value at all.
So we looked closely at her clients, not just demographically, but psychographically. What they care about. What they’re drawn to. What kind of experience they’re really looking for.
And one thing became clear: these tours had something beautifully old-fashioned about them. In a good way.
You know a bit "the old days", a 90's vibe.
Small groups. New friends. Beautiful scenery. People not staying on their phones because they’re actually having too much fun...
So we built the website around the idea of the postcard. Because the postcard represents the memory, the moment, the lifetime value of an experience like that.
Remember: people don’t just trust what you say. You need to show it somehow.
You need to give them a glimpse of the experience you’re promising, so they can feel, “okay, this is what I was looking for.”
So that’s what we did.
