There’s nothing like the feeling of handing over the reigns to a FRESH NEW SITE to the client.

What looks like a smooth launch of a super cool website to others - to me - it’s the last of the deliverables and a proud reflection on the journey so far.

A year ago meeting the owners from my laptop in Mexico … fast forward to now making a purchase on their site to snag up an oversized tote for myself. *Not a test sale this time!!

This is the reward after months of strategy, manufacturing, designing the brand identity, website and the final digital marketing efforts.

Meet the online destination for the latest brand from the studio, with a big heart I would like you to go visit

Swipe through to see the evolution → FROM IDEA TO A TANGIBLE PRODUCT.

My pair of Jessie Boys have arrived!!

Going on almost a year anniversary living and breathing this brand identity, and now holding a pair in my hot little hands. It’s a full circle moment.

From the colour palette selected to evoke a specific emotional frequency, to the development and design of the tagline etched right onto the frames.

Every element was crafted to be an extension of the soul of this brand, the visionary and

When you pair bold design with uber cool clients who trusted me to capture their vision - we created get real magic.

A brand that speaks, uplifts and inspires.

So grateful to have my art desired for a brand like this, and to be able to step into the role as their Brand Designer.

💥I CAN FINALLY TALK ABOUT THIS PROJECT!!

I began working with the couple behind over a year ago.

First we began laying the foundation of the brand with 👉STRATEGY.

Think audience personas, unique positioning statement, tagline development, brand values, social trends …

Design that does more than look good.

Guidelines keep everything

I’m gonna toot my own horn and say, I DID GOOD.

The client thought so too:

“I think we are both a bit blown away TBH and we both said that’s rare. I think seeing this come to life has given us both a lot of energy and things are falling in to place this week. You really have taken the vision for the brand and just managed to seemlessly make it feel like all the things we wanted. You bossed it Jade!!” - Gem

❤️‍🔥
Stay tuned for more of this delicious project!

Meet Ronnie,
she’s a catch, but there’s a catch. 👆

This is the energy: looks fun and bubbly, but she’s needy and intense.

If Ronnie was a brand she would be the website with an instant pop-up’s demanding commitment (subscription), it’s the FUN FREE VALUE WEBINAR that turns into a 90-minute sales pitch. Its daily emails with no opt-out feature. She is begging for engagement.

Neediness kills attraction in dating, and it certainly kills conversions in marketing.

If you are still reading - thank you and this officially concludes my “Marketing is Dating” character series!

Thank you for all the love on these reels and recognizing these red flags in your business and maybe yourself 😆

Meet Psycho Mike.

He is the ultimate 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗹, 𝗡𝗼 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 energy that kills connection instantly.

Mike’s philosophy is simple: “Don’t ask me if you want an omelet. Make an omelet!”

AKA, Don’t ask questions, just buy our product.

This is the brand that is impervious to emotions. They don’t care about your needs; they care about their transaction. Their ‘About Us’ page is detached, corporate, and all about their ego, with zero connection to you.

We’re looking to work with people we connect with, not Mike.

If your marketing is all push and no pull, you’re missing the crucial ingredient: ❤

You’re NOT lazy. You’re hitting the wall.

For months, I thought I could solve my burnout problem with discipline. I thought if I just worked harder, pushed longer, and had some more coffee, I’d be able to power through.

Little did I know, I was making my recovery take that much longer. We have to stop treating burnout like a personal failing and start seeing it as a serious sign to slow down.

(These are your body’s red flags telling you to slow down!)

★ Forgetfulness, Trouble sleeping at night, Tired all day
★ Jaw clenching, Sore joints, Stomach cramps
★ Feeling restless, Reactive, Procrastinating
★ Lack of appetite, Numbing out with sweets or wine
★ Catching every cold/flu going around

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, it’s vital to be proactive.
Speak to your health professional to rule out anything else, and know this:

The answer isn't doing more. It's 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨. Slow down, connect with the people who replenish you, and as counter-productive as it sounds, making time to have fun is your most radical act of recovery.

I’m such a Heather.

We’ve all been her right? Panic-listing our best ‘qualities and features’ instead of being quietly confident.

It’s the ‘I have a really nice couch’ and ‘I’m really good at bird calls!’ approach to marketing.

We list everything we do (“I design websites! I create brand identities! I also like croissants!!) hoping something will land. Instead of endearing and quirky it can come across as awkward and seasoned with desperation.

Enthusiasm is a great quality, but it needs direction. Lead with your core promise first (your benefit), then you can tell them about your ‘really nice couch’ a little later. Think of it like an onion layer.

Red flags in dating are just like red flags in a client project. Your intuition always knows. That feeling of 'this isn't aligned' is a sign to honour your integrity and seek true partnership, not just a transaction.

A personal story of not listening to my intuition and accepting a project because I was following the $$. It was a nightmare, they would call me after they sent every email, at every turn they tried to push the scope of work (fancy term for getting more than they paid for) and I felt an odd power dynamic which is not how I like work. I like to collaborate with my clients - not become a pixel pusher for a higher power.

So, I put on my big girl panties and refunded their deposit and said:

"I am sorry but I think you would be better suited to another designer as we aren't aligned in our communication".

Come to think of it.. I have sent that exact breakup text to someone, just replaced 'designer' with 'person'. 🤭
What's a red flag you've learned to never ignore?
