CLOSURE
With much sadness Symons Signs have finally closed the doors Permanently. Jan and I are now retired.
A Family Business, established in 1950 by my dad and mum, Denis and Stella Symons as D. Symons Sign Co. Building these premises, 9 Holden Street in 1962.
At various stages our whole family have worked for the company in these premises, both my brother Paul and sister Kathy worked here for some time in the early years. My wife and business partner Jan and myself have run the business after my dad and mum retired over 30 yrs ago.
Both my sons, Luke (part time) and Josh (15yrs +) worked here. With Josh being an integral part of the shop running the business for the last three years. Thank you so much mate.
We have all shared more good times than bad in this family business. I loved working there.
I have spent most of my life in this building so it has been very emotional for me closing and leaving here.
I started here, aged 16 in January 1969, 54 years ago, first as an apprentice, then a tradesman, the foreman, a partner with my dad and mum, then finally as owners/managers with wife Jan for the last thirty odd years.
We have had lots of wonderful, professional people and friends, as staff working with us over those years and would like to thank them for making our business successful and so much fun working with them.
We have always tried to provide a very friendly, reliable, professional service to our clients and their companies.
Finally, again I would like to thank everyone who helped grow our business ... especially Jan, I couldn't have done it without her help, ... all the family, staff, friends, clients and suppliers for being such a big part of our lives.
Eventually everything must come to an end, so sadly, good bye from SYMONS SIGNS. It has been an honour and a privilege working here.
