Every so often, we get to work with someone whose story is bigger than any brand — and Angela is one of those people.
For years, we worked alongside Angela Gorman and Life for African Mothers — the charity she founded after a night shift in Cardiff, when a BBC documentary about mothers dying in Chad stopped her cold. What followed was two decades of supplying life-saving medication and training midwives across Sub-Saharan Africa, one hospital at a time.
LFAM has now closed. Angela hasn't.
She's just published WOMANSLAUGHTER — her own word for a truth she refuses to soften: that most maternal deaths are preventable, and looking away is a choice. Part memoir, part reckoning, entirely Angela.
Once the publishing costs are covered, every penny raised goes to small charities still fighting for the same cause.
Most days, we're heads-down on brand strategy and campaigns. This post isn't that. It's just us wanting more people to know her name, and her book.
