Your customers/clients are making decisions about your business before they ever buy from you.

They’re noticing the packaging, the colours, the photography, the language, the details, the feeling.

None of that changes what you make. But it does shape the impression people have of it, and how quickly they understand its value.

That’s what good branding does.
It makes the quality that’s already there easier to see.

Why I’m building brands in my brain.

I recently had a bit of an epiphany about the kind of work that lights me up the most. Growers and makers, all over the world.

I could wait for the right client to land in my inbox, but right now Instagram is basically the only way anyone finds me. If I don’t show the work, nobody knows I do it.

So I’m building the portfolio backwards. Making the projects I want to be hired for, before anyone’s actually hired me for them.

It’s doing something else too. No brief, no client feedback, no back and forth. Just me making every call, which means I get to find out what I’d actually do if nobody was watching.

If you’re a grower or a maker and you see yourself somewhere in this, send me a message.

Week two of creating brands that don’t exist!

Millwright Bakery is a concept, built to show what the Essentials package looks like from brief to delivery.

A family bakehouse, three generations in, that just won an award for the bread and never touched the brand. That’s exactly who the Essentials is for. The business that’s outgrown its Canva logo, or never had a proper one to begin with.

You get a logo, a colour palette, font pairing, a full style guide, and a Loom video walking you through how to use it all, plus a Canva Brand Kit set up so you can start using it the same day.

$950. Built for growers, makers and creators specifically, not templated for every industry under the sun.

If your brand still doesn’t look like what you’re actually making, send me a message.

Week TWO of creating projects in my head until they appear in real life…

This one’s a bakery with a lot of heart in a small town…
Millwright Bakery, run by a family who took over their grandfather’s bakehouse and turned it into somewhere people now drive hours for.

Before I touch a logo, I build the world it lives in first. The atmosphere, the people that frequent its spaces, how the brand will be used, where the brand may end up.
This is where every project starts for me, long before anyone sees a single design.

What actually happens when we work on The Essentials together.

Week one is mostly questions, not about fonts, about your customer, your competitors, what you’re proud of and what you’re tired of explaining.

Week two I bring back a concept and we refine it together. Not chasing perfect, chasing yours.

Week three I finalise everything and hand it over: your logo, colour palette, two fonts, and a one page guide so you’re not guessing every time you post.

By the end you’ve got a logo, a small colour and font set, and a quick style guide so you’re not guessing every time you post.

A little inspiration turned into a new portfolio project.

Recently, I spent time exploring Bundaberg and was inspired by the abundance of the region. The farms, growers, makers and creators who pour so much care into what they do.

There is something special about businesses that are deeply connected to the land. The stories behind the produce, the seasons, the hands that make it all happen.

I came home wanting to create something that captured the feeling I experienced exploring these places: thoughtful businesses, beautiful landscapes and people deeply connected to their craft.

Introducing my latest conceptual project: Blue Ridge Lavender Farm.
A brand inspired by slow living, seasonal beauty and the growers who create experiences worth remembering.

Rebrand sneak peek…

Hidden above a fish and chip shop in our sunny little town is The Wellness Haven, a calm and welcoming space created by its beautiful owner, Shen.

Shen’s vision was simple and deeply needed. To create a place where people feel safe to slow down, rest, and reconnect with themselves.

We bonded over Turkish drama, the Mediterranean, and house music, and from there the brief unfolded naturally. The brand needed to feel elevated, nourishing, and quietly supportive.

The new chapter of The Wellness Haven is coming soon.

Favourite things about small town living

1. Chill traffic. Yes it gets busy around school holidays but nothing like Sunny Coast on the M1.

2. Quiet beaches. Crowded beaches here is just isn’t a thing.

3. The pace. No one is in a hurry, and if you are you will quickly learn that it’s no one else’s concern.

4. People are nicer. People are way more inclined to chat to you in shops, or smile in the street.

5. Spoilt for choices in nature…You want to see a forest? There is one 30 minutes from my house, you want islands? there is one 20 minute ferry ride away.
