Here’s the difference:

‘Branding’ goes beyond creating visuals and messaging. Branding creates experiences, actualizes and influences identity - scratches that ‘sense of belonging itch’ that we look for in everything we ingest. We see branding as another instrument of the human experience similar to the difference between choosing blue or red, interacting with our world in response to the feelings stimulated within us. Designing touchpoints (instances of interaction between brand and consumer) is no different. Pay attention to who you’re doing it for, and decide how you’d like to make a dent in their day.

A brand launch needs more than just visuals—think strategy, storytelling, and an intentional, guided audience experience. For PeaboNeavar’s first ready-to-wear capsule, we handled campaign planning, brand media capture (including a collaboration with local accessories designer and fashionista / Bold by Cyrilien), setting up their newsletter, creating a digital lookbook, landing page development and more.

Our focus? Maximizing lead and data capture while defining and fostering authentic connection through PeaboNeavar’s brand experience. We audited their socials and created customer journey maps that allowed us to thoughtfully disseminate valuable information and interact with shoppers in memorable ways that fit the brand’s ethos and personality.

In a world increasingly filled with autogenerated buzzword scraps, designing a unique voice for your brand is becoming more important than ever. What you say and how you choose to say it can make your audience feel seen or worst case scenario, like they’ve encountered yet another grift.

Three important factors that we consider when developing a brand’s voice:
1. The tone and language authentic to the founder or team interacting with the brand internally. It’ll be more work to maintain a voice that isn’t rooted in a brand’s actual essence, and the moment that mask slips, your customers are going to notice.

2. What symptoms are attached to the pain points or concerns of your target audience? For example, a brand in the wellness space will have to consider the sensitivity (symptom) that surrounds healthcare, therefore the language they may want to choose use should encourage and reassure.

3. What is your brand’s personality? Similarly to defining the essence of your brand - imagine your brand is a person. After a first meeting, how do you think someone would describe them? How would a long-term friend describe them? We use these markers to help develop a character for every brand we create, resulting in a messaging ecosystem that speaks directly to target customers at all times without succumbing to the generic marketing mumblings.

Welcome to the stage 2025! A new year brings new connections, new skills, new opportunities to serve and the list goes on. For us it means a year of evolution and transformation in the relationships we’ve fostered and way we look at what we do.

​2024 has seen us doing a lot behind the scenes, and as FCA’s founder, my thoughts surrounding the immediate needs of end-users and practical utility of ‘branding’ have developed. I’m going to make a bold claim and say - 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, followed by an even bigger claim - 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝘁𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳. I believe that we’ll see agencies and businesses become long term partners, sharing an ecosystem with the intention of co-existing in ways that are symbiotic for months, maybe years after that first project begins. Branding is a tool, one that yields its best results when its users have the understanding and guidance to wield it. I have a feeling that the agencies that care will be as selective as our clients are and do their best to commit themselves to brands, movements and big ideas that want to create change and are willing to do the hard parts.
