If you're a regular follower, you would have noticed that my presence on Instagram has been pretty much non-existent over the last three months. Truthfully, I have not posted any significant content since November of 2020.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The reason for this is that I lost all inspiration for creating content for Instagram and my business, believe it or not. Because my inspiration was waning, I decided not to force myself to come up with ideas. I instead, focused on my clients and the work that helps sustain me and my livelihood.

Let me tell you, it was a much-needed break. I feel a lot more refreshed, I've been keeping burnout at bay and I'm ready to share with you what I've been learning.

As entrepreneurs, especially those of us who are service based and work one on one with clients, boundaries are essential not only to your business processes but protecting your energy.

So what does setting boundaries look like?

It can mean, that clients can only contact you between certain hours and use a certain format. While instant messaging such as WhatsApp and social media are popular ways to communicate, it may not work for everyone.

You can determine what methods work for you and help you to feel less anxious. Set the standard by communicating these to your clients.

Boundaries aren’t solely for others, but for yourself as well. For example: if scrolling through social media and viewing certain content steals your energy or makes you anxious, set limits with yourself on when and how use these platforms.
