New Card Design Alert 🥳🎉🎯

A good friend of mine got married in January and I wanted to bless the couple with a card and I had found this new card design that I wanted to try so bad. So this is a Bendy Shadow Box Card. This version here is 6 x 8 inches (which is on the bigger side) and despite it's bendy appearance, it can sit down flat in the envelope. The bride and the groom were pleased and I truly pray for a lifetime of happiness😍

New Card Design ✨😍💥

The client recently lost their sister-in-law and wanted a card to pass on the family. Having done this particular style for him before, he requested the same style as before and that I stick to the theme for the funeral (peach and gold). This is a 2-Way Double Trifold Card.

I don't do a lot of sympathy cards but I thought this one came out beautifully even though it was a sad occasion. My client was pleased and I extend condolences to the family as they grieve.

‼Special Project🎯🎉🥳‼

It's been a little while since anything has been posted and that's because things have been a little rollercoaster lately. However I wanted to show these little beauties.

One of the bigger issues of doing paper craft is that inevitably you end up with lots of paper scraps. And I wanted to do something to try to tackle the scraps I had. I did not get to do all the projects I had in mind but I was glad I was able to do this one. These are Easel Calendars with a handy post-it note. I did 3 batches and gave them to some of work colleagues who proudly display them by their PCs. While I didn't get use all of my scraps, I did make a dent. 🤣

I am hoping to do some more special projects throughout the year and I definitely will be doing calendars to put in rotation for next year.

New Card Design 🤩👍🏾🎉

This card was a labour of love. It is a new style that I had never done before. Very simple. What stands out about this one is the size. The customer reach out and wanted to do something big for her sister who was reaching a milestone birthday. She knew she wanted it big and what design she wanted on for cover and back but no idea about the inside of the card. This particular style is typically a 6"x 6" card. The beauty you see in these photos is an 8" x 10" card. Yes you read that right. This card is literally the size of a Photo Frame.

So for the inside, I did some research to see what can work inside and the nice things with the panels is that it allows for photos or words. If you check out the back cover of the card, you will see that it was customized to mentioned things in Bim in 1995. (Sorry if reading those things make you feel old 🤣🤣🤣). I also did a custom gift bag to go along with the card.

So here we have another Triple Floating Diamond Fold Card. You'll find that I have quite a few on here and that's because I have one customer who's a big fan on them when she's doing an order. This particular on stands out as it also a Shaker card - so the middle panel is filled with beads and diamantes. I haven't done much of these....hmmm... in fact I think this only the second I've done but the first time I am posting. Definitely need to do more Shaker Cards. I think it came out nice.

This year I tried doing something a little different - I offered select cards and desktop decor specifically for the season. In this case it was a Valentine's Special. I didn't get a lot of orders but that is ok. But for this young lady, she wanted to surprise her beau with something different. So this is a Photo Swing Frame. It can hold a total of 8 photos and yes the boxes do spin 🌀. It is a nice way to present or keep special photos and it can grace your table in a lovely way.

So this was an order for a birthday card and I was told to make it colorful. And I found designs so lovely that I incorporated both in the card - inside and back. Now my customer loves this particular style - Triple Floating Diamond Fold card. In fact I'm pretty sure, that most of the orders of this style on my page are for her to bless somebody 🤣🤣🤣 (Thank you Lena). The photos don't really do it justice but came out so well. And to reach 80 years is truly a blessing.

So it's been a little while since I did any posting and I have a lot of cards to post 🤣🤣. But I am endeavoring to be better - for previously completed cards and projects as well as some future and scrap cards.

Anyhow, one of things I like to do is to try a craft or project that is a lil different from my normal stuff, just to push the envelope and challenge myself. In December 2024, I created an Advent Calendar where I blessed my work colleagues with small gifts which were pulled each day. I had never done one before and it turned out to be a labour of love but it came out pretty good.

Is it something I would do again? Yes if I had enough time to plan it out but I would probably do a 12-day one instead.

Any other considerations? Yes, the question is should I do one do I leave it empty for the customer to fill with their own stuff or should I sell it with things. 🤔

And if I fill, what do I fill it with? Candy, chocolates, jewellry or something else? 🤔

Questions that need answers....

The designs/colors in the picture isn't that cohesive as I was just trying to use what Christmas cardstock I had.
