Meta is rolling out subscription versions of Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram.
FREE FOREVER seems to have just been a placeholder until they could find a way to make it rain the big bucks.
Sure, the services will remain free for most users and nothing with change in the short to medium term, we can expect that much beloved and widely used features may find themselves mysteriously disappearing behind the pay wall.
Subscriptions are taking over and nothing is sacred. While we shouldn’t be surprised it seems like companies today expect that consumers have elastic budgets that can ever expand with more and more subscription models.
But with prices rising and wages freezing, there is less and less room in budgets to spare.
Would you pay to use Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram? Or would you say ‘bye bye bye!’ to Meta and the big three?
