PSVs exiting the Constitution River Terminal will now turn left onto Constitution Road from Nursery Drive and travel onto St. Michaels Row:
South Bound PSVs will turn left onto Bridge Street, turn left onto Fairchild Street, and continue on to River Road.
East Bound PSVs will turn right onto Marhill Street, right onto Roebuck Street, and continue to their destinations.

Exiting Speightstown, the PSVs will proceed in a Southerly direction, turning right onto Church Street, and left onto Queen Street to follow on to Highway 1.

The Barbados Tourism Investment Inc. (BTI) wishes to inform the public that there will be temporary traffic changes at Halls Road and the James A Tudor Roundabout, as a result of the ongoing Constitution River Redevelopment Project.

These changes will commence from Friday, August 20, 2021 until Saturday, September 4, 2021, should the weather permit the scheduled works.

From August 20 to 23, motorists entering and exiting The City via Halls Road using the roundabout are asked to note that there will be single lane traffic at the corner of Halls Road and the James A Tudor Roundabout.

From August 24 to September 4, motorists entering The City via the Tweedside Road and Harmony Hall will exit at the James A Tudor Roundabout.

Motorists are asked to expect delays and exercise extreme caution. Alternative routes should be utilized, where possible.

Traffic signs will be erected and flag personnel will be on duty to assist with the traffic flow.

The BTI thanks the public for their cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience caused during the scheduled work.

The Barbados Tourism Investment Inc. (BTI) advises that phase one of the preparatory work of the Bridgetown Transformation Project has been completed.

The demolition of the Old NIS Building, the Bridgetown Fire Service, and the Temporary Market on Probyn Street will commence on Monday, February 17, 2020.

Contractors will erect hoarding to fully secure the construction site between Saturday, February 15th, and Sunday, February 16th. Demolition work is scheduled for a period of five weeks.
Motorists and pedestrians can expect changes to the regular traffic flow including the placement of temporary roundabouts, one-way roads to two-way lanes, and “no walking” signs directly around the work site.

The Babados Tourism Investment Inc. (BTI) wishes to inform the public that the junction of Fairchild Street and Probyn Street is temporarily restricted as a result of the demolition of the "Old" NIS Building. For the safety of the traveling public, four traffic changes are now in effect.



Traffic Change Number Three - Broad Street via Bridge Street to Bay Street and Wharf Road •


Motorists exiting Broad Street via Bridge Street junction must note that the left lane is now a left turn only into Marhill Street. The middle lane is to be used for motorists making a right turn onto Bridge Street then a right turn by the Republic Bank onto Independence Square and then left onto Lower Bay Street to join regular traffic heading to Upper Bay Street. The right lane from Broad Street to Bridge Street junction will be used to go onto to Wharf Road as usual.
Motorist are kindly asked to exercise caution as Independence Square to Lower Bay Street are now two-way traffic lanes.

The Babados Tourism Investment Inc. (BTI) wishes to inform the public that the junction of Fairchild Street and Probyn Street is temporarily restricted as a result of the demolition of the "Old" NIS Building. For the safety of the traveling public, four traffic changes are now in effect.



Traffic Change Number Two - Lower Bay Street to Independence Square



Temporary roundabouts have been placed at the T-Junction of Lower Bay Street and Probyn Street and Cavan’s Lane.
Motorists should exercise caution when using this location as traffic will now be travelling in both directions. As motorists enter Lower Bay Street from Upper Bay Street, they must stay in the left lane heading towards Independence Square as traffic will be coming from the opposite direction on the right side of Independence Square to exit the City.

Traffic Change Number One - Motorists approaching River Road to Probyn Street/Independence Square/Bay Street



A temporary roundabout has been placed at the junction of Nelson and Fairchild Street, as access to lower Fairchild Street is now restricted. Motorists can access Probyn Street by making a left turn into Nelson Street followed by a right turn into Jordan's Lane and onto Probyn Street. Jordan's Lane continues to be a one way but in the opposite direction.
The roundabout at this junction also allows motorists coming from River Road to make a U-Turn, should they need to exit Bridgetown via River Road.
Motorists exiting Jordan’s Lane onto Probyn Street can turn left to join regular traffic heading towards Upper Bay Street or turn right using the roundabout at the junction of Probyn Street and Lower Bay Street and travel in the direction of Independence Square to join regular traffic.
