Part 2:
REPETITION:
Repeating colors, fonts, words, or shapes can help tie your design and overall look together. It also helps people remember your brand or other important information. Employ repetition in your overall content strategy by using consistent colors, fonts, and brand imagery to help people recognize your brand. Repetition builds consistency. Which makes the design memorable.
PROPORTION:
Proportion is the visual size and weight of elements in a composition and how they relate to each other. It often helps to approach your design in sections, instead of as a whole. Proportion can be achieved only if all elements of your design are well-sized and thoughtfully placed. Once you master alignment, balance, and contrast, proportion should emerge organically.
BALANCE:
According to Smashing Magazine, a “balanced composition feels right. It feels stable and aesthetically pleasing.” There are two types of balance: symmetrical and asymmetrical balance. Either type creates a steadiness while balancing the visual weight and form of positive and negative space.
