ছোটবেলা থেকেই সফটওয়্যার ইঞ্জিনিয়াররা কীভাবে কাজ করেন, কীভাবে তারা বিভিন্ন সমস্যার সমাধান করেন, এসব বিষয় আমাকে সবসময় অনুপ্রাণিত করেছে। বিশেষ করে একটি সফটওয়্যার বা অ্যাপের ব্যাকএন্ডে আসলে কীভাবে কাজ হয়, সেই কৌতূহল থেকেই প্রযুক্তির প্রতি আমার আগ্রহ তৈরি হয়।

আমার কর্মক্ষেত্রে আমি যে বড় পরিবর্তনগুলো দেখেছি, সেগুলো ছিল প্রযুক্তিগত পরিবর্তন। AI অনেক কিছু বদলে দিয়েছে এবং আমাদের কাজ করার ধরনকে আধুনিক করেছে।
তবে আমি মনে করি, যেকোনো নতুন প্রযুক্তির সঙ্গে এগিয়ে যেতে হলে নিজের বেসিকটা শক্ত হওয়াটা সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। তাই আমি নতুন প্রজন্মকে বা যারা এই সেক্টরে আসতে চায়, তাদের বলব—আপনি এখন যে ক্ষেত্রেই কাজ করুন না কেন, আগে সেই ক্ষেত্রের মৌলিক বিষয়গুলো ভালোভাবে আয়ত্ত করুন। শক্ত ভিত্তি থাকলে নতুন প্রযুক্তির সঙ্গে মানিয়ে নেওয়াটা অনেক সহজ হয়ে যায়।

আর ASCII-এর কথা যদি বলি, তাহলে আমার ক্যারিয়ারের যাত্রায় এর অবদান অনেক বড়। শুরুর দিকে কোনো কাজ পেলেই আমি প্রায়ই আটকে যেতাম, কীভাবে করব সেটা বুঝতে সময় লাগত, এমনকি অনেক সময় ডেডলাইনও মিস করতাম। কিন্তু ASCII কখনো শুধু ডেডলাইন পূরণ করার জন্য চাপ দেয়নি। বরং আমাকে শেখার জন্য সময় দিয়েছে, ভুল করার সুযোগ দিয়েছে এবং প্রতিটি ভুল থেকে শেখার পরিবেশ তৈরি করে দিয়েছে। সেই শেখার সুযোগই আজ আমাকে অনেক বেশি আত্মবিশ্বাসী করেছে। এখন আমি শুধু কাজ শেষই করি না, বরং বেশিরভাগ ক্ষেত্রেই ডেডলাইনের আগেই কাজ সম্পন্ন করতে পারি। আমার বিশ্বাস, এই পরিবর্তনের পেছনে সবচেয়ে বড় কারণ হলো শেখার সেই সংস্কৃতি, যা আমি ASCII থেকে পেয়েছি।

চার বছরের অপেক্ষার পর আবার ফিরে এসেছে সেই অনুভূতি।

My journey with ASCII completely rewired my brain. When I first walked through those doors, I was thrown straight into the deep end, wondering how I’d survive the flood. Looking back? That challenge was a hidden blessing. Before ASCII, my motto was “I want to learn.” The second I got thrown into the fire, it became “I have to learn.” There was no backup plan. I watched projects crash and burn, and while it felt like a gut punch, it forced me to stop overthinking and violently upgrade my skill set.

But life sends the right people when you need them. I got a mentor who gave me a rule I still live by: “The clock is always ticking, but never let speed ruin your standards. We might have to move fast to hit the deadline, but we must ensure we are giving our absolute best to the work.’ Quality isn't an excuse to be slow; it's the commitment to excel even when you're in a hurry."

I had to figure out every microscopic detail by myself—paving the entire road while learning how to drive at the same time. By the time the newbies rolled in, I had survived the trenches. That naturally shoved me into leadership, where I learned the ultimate skill ASCII gifted me: anyone can carry the title of a "team leader," but a true leader runs a team by deeply understanding every teammate's unique strengths and flaws.

For the generations coming up next: your biggest enemy is your comfort zone. The grind only feels impossible because you're comfortable where you are. Quit hiding. Do the exact things that terrify you, and do the things you hate doing. You don’t know a damn thing about your potential until you’re pushed to the edge—and you might just become a master at the very skill you used to run away from.

হাটে গরু কিনতে যাওয়া আমাদের জীবনের অনেক আনন্দের মুহূর্ত, অনেক স্মৃতি জড়িয়ে থাকে। গরু-ছাগলের মজার মারামারি নিয়েই আমাদের ঈদ কেটে যায়। কার গরু কত বড়, কার গরু কত চালাক — এই নিয়েই তৈরি হয় অনেক মুহূর্ত। কিন্তু ঈদের দিন শেষে সব ভুলে একই হাঁড়িতে রান্না । কিন্তু দিনশেষে পশুর সাথে সেই মায়া আমাদের মনকে কাঁদিয়ে যায়।
কুরবানির পশুর সাথে গড়ে ওঠা সেই মায়া, আর ত্যাগের মহিমা আমাদের জীবনকে সঠিক পথে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাক।
