Good news for small F-commerce businesses in Bangladesh 🇧🇩

You can now pay for Facebook Ads using bKash.

For many small business owners, especially those just getting started, not having an international card was a real problem when it came to running Meta Ads. With bKash, it’s now much easier to run ads directly without having to depend on someone else.

The cost is still a bit high though. If you load BDT 500, you currently pay 15% VAT + BDT 11 charge, which makes the additional cost around 17.2%.

Still, I think this is a really good move by Meta and bKash. It lowers one of the biggest barriers for small businesses that want to advertise online.

Hopefully, we’ll see Nagad, Rocket and Upay added as payment options too. More options and more competition could eventually make things easier and cheaper.

It’s a small change, but for many small businesses, it could make a real difference.

The feature isn’t available to everyone yet, but it’s being rolled out gradually.

Instagram-এর নতুন AI ইমেজ জেনারেটর ‘Muse’ চালুর কয়েক দিনের মধ্যেই বিতর্কের মুখে পড়েছে Meta।

ফিচারটির মাধ্যমে কোনো পাবলিক Instagram অ্যাকাউন্টের ছবি রেফারেন্স হিসেবে ব্যবহার করে নতুন AI ছবি তৈরি করা যেত। কিন্তু সমস্যা ছিল—ছবির মালিককে কোনো নোটিফিকেশন বা অনুমতির সুযোগ দেওয়া হয়নি।

বিষয়টি নিয়ে অভিনেতা, শিল্পী এবং SAG-AFTRA তীব্র আপত্তি জানায়। তাদের আশঙ্কা ছিল, অনুমতি ছাড়া মানুষের ছবি বিকৃত বা অপব্যবহারের ঝুঁকি আরও বাড়বে।

**মোবাইল ছাড়াই হোয়াটসঅ্যাপে কল করা যাবে এখন সরাসরি ব্রাউজার থেকে**

Meta হোয়াটসঅ্যাপে নিয়ে এসেছে নতুন " Web Calling " ফিচার। এখন থেকে কোনো অ্যাপ ইনস্টল ছাড়াই ব্রাউজার থেকেই অডিও ও ভিডিও কল করা যাবে। ফিচারটি ধাপে ধাপে সবার জন্য চালু হচ্ছে।

নতুন আপডেটে যা থাকছে—

• Browser Calling: WhatsApp Web থেকেই One-to-One ও Group Call করা এবং রিসিভ করা যাবে।

• Call Transfer: চলমান কল মোবাইল থেকে ল্যাপটপ বা ডেস্কটপে সহজেই নেওয়া যাবে, কল না কেটেই।

• Waiting Room: হোস্ট অনুমোদন না দেওয়া পর্যন্ত নতুন অংশগ্রহণকারীরা অপেক্ষায় থাকবে।

• QuickHD: কল শুরু হওয়ার পরপরই HD ভিডিও পাওয়া যাবে।

• Noise Suppression: আশপাশের শব্দ কমিয়ে আরও পরিষ্কারভাবে কথা বলা যাবে।

Meta জানিয়েছে, Web থেকে করা সব কল End-to-End Encrypted, সম্পূর্ণ ফ্রি এবং কোনো সময়সীমা নেই। এছাড়া Screen Sharing, Reactions এবং Call History-ও ব্যবহার করা যাবে।

বাংলাদেশের ফ্রিল্যান্সার, অফিস ব্যবহারকারী বা যাদের কম্পিউটারে অ্যাপ ইনস্টল করার অনুমতি নেই, তাদের জন্য এই আপডেটটি বেশ কাজে আসবে।

ফিচারটি এখনও সবার জন্য উন্মুক্ত হয়নি। তাই আপনার অ্যাকাউন্টে এখনই না দেখালেও চিন্তার কিছু নেই।
