🎬 সালমান শাহ হত্যা মামলায় অভিনেতা ডন গ্রেফতার

বাংলাদেশের চলচ্চিত্রের জনপ্রিয় নায়ক সালমান শাহের মৃত্যুর ঘটনায় দায়ের করা হত্যা মামলায় গ্রেফতার হয়েছেন খল অভিনেতা ডন হক।
রোববার (৯ আগস্ট) দুপুরে বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেন বিমানবন্দর থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) কামরুল হাসান তালুকদার। তিনি জানান, বিমানবন্দর এলাকা থেকে ইমিগ্রেশন পুলিশের সদস্যরা ডনকে গ্রেফতার করেন। পরে তাকে সিআইডির কাছে হস্তান্তর করা হয়।
সালমান শাহের মৃত্যুর প্রায় ২৯ বছর পর আদালতের নির্দেশে ঘটনাটি হত্যা মামলা হিসেবে তদন্তের আওতায় আসে। ২০২৫ সালের ২১ অক্টোবর সালমান শাহের মামা মোহাম্মদ আলমগীর রমনা থানায় মামলাটি করেন। এতে সালমান শাহের সাবেক স্ত্রী সামিরা হক, অভিনেতা ডন হকসহ মোট ১১ জনকে আসামি করা হয়।
দীর্ঘদিন ধরে সালমান শাহের মৃত্যুর কারণ নিয়ে নানা আলোচনা ও বিতর্ক রয়েছে। একাধিক তদন্তের পর পিবিআই তাদের প্রতিবেদনে মৃত্যুটিকে আত্মহত্যা হিসেবে উল্লেখ করেছিল। তবে সালমান শাহের পরিবার ও ভক্তরা সেই সিদ্ধান্ত মেনে নেয়নি। পরবর্তী সময়ে আদালতের নির্দেশে বিষয়টি হত্যা মামলা হিসেবে তদন্তের জন্য সিআইডির কাছে যায়।
ডনকে গ্রেফতারের মধ্য দিয়ে দীর্ঘদিনের আলোচিত এই মামলায় তদন্ত নতুন কোনো মোড় নেয় কি না, এখন সেদিকেই নজর সংশ্লিষ্টদের।
উল্লেখ্য, ১৯৯৬ সালের ৬ সেপ্টেম্বর মাত্র ২৭ বছর বয়সে মৃত্যুবরণ করেন চলচ্চিত্রের তুমুল জনপ্রিয় নায়ক সালমান শাহ। মাত্র চার বছরের ক্যারিয়ারে ২৭টি চলচ্চিত্রে অভিনয় করে তিনি বাংলা চলচ্চিত্রে তৈরি করেছিলেন অনন্য জনপ্রিয়তা।

Physician and Researcher Dr. Md. Ariful Haque Receives International Professional Achiever Award – Season 2

Bangladeshi physician and researcher Dr. Md. Ariful Haque has been honored with the International Professional Achiever (IPA) Award – Season 2 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to healthcare, medical research, and research education.

The prestigious award was presented to him at a grand ceremony held at the Bangladesh Tourism Corporation Auditorium in Agargaon, Dhaka.

Organized by Mayurpankhi and the International Professional Academy, the event recognized distinguished individuals from Bangladesh and abroad for their remarkable achievements across nearly 30 sectors, including healthcare, education, research, business, culture, media, social service, entrepreneurship, and sports.

Dr. Ariful Haque currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Voice of Doctors Research School. Under his leadership, the institution has been empowering physicians, medical students, healthcare professionals, and aspiring researchers by providing research training, mentorship, and academic support.

The institution aims to develop the next generation of researchers in medicine and public health. It offers guidance in research methodology, scientific writing, data analysis, and publishing research in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals. Promoting evidence-based healthcare and contributing to effective public health policy are among its key objectives.

Earlier, in 2023, Dr. Ariful Haque received the Nepal–Bangladesh Friendship Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to healthcare, society, and humanitarian welfare.

The award ceremony was chaired by Ruhit Suman, Founder and Chairman of Mayurpankhi and the International Professional Academy (IPA). The Chief Guest was Member of Parliament Helen Jerin Khan. Special Guests included Professor Tahmina Akter, Vice-Chancellor of Rabindra University, Bangladesh, Kona Reza, Md. Kamrul Islam, and other distinguished personalities from various professional fields.

The event also conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award on world-renowned magician Jewel Aich. Special Recognition Awards were presented to celebrated music composer Shawkat Ali Emon, lyricist Kabir Bakul, acclaimed drama director Chayanika Chowdhury, and former Bangladesh national cricket captain Habibul Bashar.

This year's edition of the IPA Awards honored distinguished individuals from nearly 30 professional sectors, including banking, healthcare, journalism, culture, acting, entrepreneurship, social service, education, research, sports, fashion, music, dance, and culinary arts.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the organizers stated that the primary objective of the IPA Award is to recognize and celebrate individuals who have made significant yet often unheralded contributions to society. They also expressed their commitment to expanding the event on an even larger scale in the years ahead.

2nd IPA Award Held in a Grand Ceremony in Dhaka

The 2nd IPA Award (International Professional Achiever Award) was held in a spectacular ceremony in the capital to recognize distinguished individuals from Bangladesh and abroad for their outstanding contributions across various professions and fields. Organized by Mayurpankhi and the International Professional Academy (IPA), the event honored exceptional achievers from nearly 30 sectors, including culture, business, media, healthcare, education, sports, entrepreneurship, and social service.
The event was organized and supervised by Ruhit Sumon, Founder Chairman of Mayurpankhi and IPA. Management support was provided by Rifat Mahbub Sakib and Salman Farsi.
The ceremony was graced by Member of Parliament Helen Jerin Khan as the Chief Guest. Special Guests included Professor Tahmina Akter, Vice-Chancellor of Rabindra University; Kona Reza, Proprietor of Pan Supari; Md. Kamrul Islam, General Manager of US-Bangla Airlines; Sakhawat Hossain Shuvo, Managing Director of Marriage Solution BD; and renowned lyricist Selina Akter.
Legendary magician Jewel Aich received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Special recognition was also presented to composer Shawkat Ali Emon, lyricist Kabir Bakul, filmmaker Chayanika Chowdhury, and former Bangladesh National Cricket Team captain Habibul Bashar.
Among the notable attendees were actors Tousif Mahbub, Sojol Noor, Nirab, Joy Chowdhury, actresses Deepa Khandakar, Shokh, Zeba Jannat, Misti Jannat, Anchal, filmmaker Mehedi Hasan Hridoy, choreographer Gautam Saha, singers Sabbir Zaman, Rowjatul Jannat, Nusrat Niti, JK Shanta, news presenters Bhabna Ahmed and Salma Jilani, journalist Shaheen Alam Joy, along with entrepreneurs, physicians, business leaders, social workers, and many other distinguished personalities.
The event featured captivating cultural performances, fashion shows, dance and musical presentations. A ceremonial cake-cutting session and the vibrant presence of celebrities added further charm to the celebration.
At the conclusion of the event, organizer Ruhit Sumon said:
"The primary goal of the IPA Award is to honor the silent contributors who are making a meaningful impact on society. I sincerely thank everyone who supported this initiative directly and indirectly. We are committed to organizing this event on an even larger scale in the future."
The event was presented by RS Event Media. Supporting partners included US-Bangla Airlines, Sonali Bank PLC, Bangla B2B B2C, Marriage Solution, Salman Farsi Worldwide, PlusHerb, and ITP Mattress.
The organizers also announced that the 6th International Business, Entrepreneur & Leadership Summit will be held in September.

সিনেমার বাজারকে বছরজুড়ে সচল রাখাই লক্ষ্য: শাকিব খান

বাংলা চলচ্চিত্রের অন্যতম জনপ্রিয় অভিনেতা শাকিব খান বর্তমানে ব্যক্তিগত সফরে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে অবস্থান করছেন। ব্যস্ত শুটিং সূচির বাইরে এই সময়টুকু তিনি পরিবার, আত্মীয়-স্বজন ও ঘনিষ্ঠজনদের সঙ্গে কাটানোর পাশাপাশি নিজের ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনা নিয়েও কাজ করছেন। সাম্প্রতিক এক সাক্ষাৎকারে তিনি নিজের অবসর, অতীতের অভিজ্ঞতা এবং চলচ্চিত্রে নতুন উদ্যমে ফেরার পরিকল্পনা নিয়ে খোলামেলা কথা বলেছেন।
শাকিব জানান, কাজের ব্যস্ততা থেকে কিছুটা দূরে থাকলেও তিনি সময়কে অর্থবহ করে তুলতে চেষ্টা করেন। যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে অবস্থানকালে নিয়মিত শরীরচর্চা, কেনাকাটা এবং নতুন কিছু পরিকল্পনা নিয়ে ভাবনাচিন্তা করছেন। একই সঙ্গে দীর্ঘদিন পর আত্মীয়-স্বজনের সঙ্গে সময় কাটানোর সুযোগও উপভোগ করছেন।
করোনা মহামারির সময় প্রায় নয় মাস যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে অবস্থান করতে হয়েছিল এই অভিনেতাকে। সে সময় অনেকেই ভেবেছিলেন তিনি হয়তো চলচ্চিত্র থেকে দূরে সরে যাচ্ছেন। তবে শাকিবের ভাষায়, সেটি ছিল নিজেকে আরও প্রস্তুত করার একটি অধ্যায়। ক্যামেরার সামনে না থাকলেও তিনি নিজের ভবিষ্যৎ কাজের পরিকল্পনা ও প্রস্তুতিতে মনোযোগী ছিলেন।
তিনি বিশ্বাস করেন, একজন শিল্পীর জনপ্রিয়তা শুধু নিয়মিত উপস্থিতির ওপর নির্ভর করে না; দর্শকের ভালোবাসা ও আস্থাই একজন শিল্পীর সবচেয়ে বড় শক্তি। তাই সাময়িক বিরতি কখনোই একজন সত্যিকারের শিল্পীকে হারিয়ে দেয় না।
বর্তমানে নতুন উদ্যমে কাজ শুরু করার প্রত্যয় ব্যক্ত করে শাকিব বলেন, দর্শকের প্রত্যাশা পূরণ করাই তার সবচেয়ে বড় দায়িত্ব। তার লক্ষ্য শুধু নিজের সিনেমা নয়, বরং বছরজুড়ে দেশের চলচ্চিত্র শিল্পকে সচল ও প্রাণবন্ত রাখা।
