Over the past year, my team and I have edited over 5,000 photos a month for a single client — an American auction house.
Every batch tells a different story. One month it's a run of Karastan wool rugs and a genuine Hermès scarf.
The next, it's a 7-piece vintage watch lot — Longines, Girard-Perregaux, Bulova — sitting next to Sheffield silver cutlery and a Lladro figurine. Last week it was a Vincent Bach trumpet mouthpiece and a hand-painted Delft tile panel.
We don't just remove backgrounds and crop images. We verify maker's marks, catch duplicate lots before they go live, and write descriptions accurate enough that buyers trust what they're bidding on — because in this business, the photo and the words are the only thing standing between a collector and an item they'll never physically hold before paying for it.
900+ lots a month, one editor's eye, zero room for a wrong detail. That's what post-production really means in this industry — not just making things look good, but making them trustworthy.
If you run an auction house, gallery, or high-volume catalog and your team is buried in editing instead of selling — let's talk.
