Job Description
We are urgently looking for a skilled Laravel Expert with 4+ years of experience to join our engineering team . The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in building robust, scalable, and secure web applications using Laravel and modern PHP practices. You will work closely with cross functional teams to design and deliver high quality backend solutions that power real world digital products.
Key Responsibilities
• Demonstrate strong expertise in PHP Laravel, related frameworks, and modern development tools.
• Experience with React.js / Node.js will be considered an added advantage.
• Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Laravel, PHP, and related technologies.
• API and Backend Services: Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services that integrate with databases, third party services, and frontend applications.
• Database Design and Optimization: Design and optimize relational database schemas, write efficient queries, and manage migrations using MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• System Design and Architecture: Contribute to backend architecture and system design, ensuring scalability, security, and performance of core services.
• Code Quality and Testing: Write clean, maintainable, and well documented code. Implement unit and integration tests, and participate in regular code reviews.
• Performance, Security, and Debugging: Identify and fix performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and production issues using logs, monitoring, and profiling tools.
• Integration and Automation: Integrate with third party APIs, payment gateways, and internal services. Work with queues, caching, and scheduling features in Laravel (Redis, Horizon, queues, cron etc.).
• Collaboration and Delivery: Work closely with Product Managers, Frontend Developers, DevOps, and QA to plan sprints, deliver features on time, and continuously improve the product.
Qualifications
• Any Education Background
• 4+ years of professional experience in backend development using Laravel and modern PHP.
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture, RESTful API design, and object oriented programming principles.
• Hands-on experience with Eloquent ORM, query builder, migrations, and database optimization (MySQL or PostgreSQL).
• Experience with authentication and authorization mechanisms such as Laravel Breeze, Passport, Sanctum, or similar.
• Good understanding of caching, queues, job scheduling, and event based development in Laravel.
• Familiarity with frontend integration using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and any modern framework such as Vue or React is a plus.
• Experience with Git, CI or CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or similar will be considered an advantage.
• Strong grasp of software design patterns, clean code principles, and agile development practices.
• Excellent problem solving skills, debugging ability, and communication skills.
