Businesses nowadays are constantly working for growth and when it comes to reaching customers online, it is even more important that you grow as a business to become more and more accessible to new audiences. It is important for a business to grow so that it can earn more respect and be more of a responsible entity to the customers. However, most of the entrepreneurs now a days do not hold their business at a certain level, they always want to level up and create a brand from a business. Only if they could know that the steps they are taking to become a brand remains very far-fetched as they think like a business and work like a business as well.
The first mistake an entrepreneur makes on the journey to Brand is they think their business has already become Brand. While it sounds very easy that you have declared yourself as a brand, it is actually tough to create the same picture as brand to all the stakeholders. Brand is totally community based so it is what the community thinks about your venture.
Secondly, most of the entrepreneurs think if they are a Brand they cannot be a business. However, it is actually the complete opposite. Brands need to do business as well, if anything it is equally important to grow the brand and business. They are definitely different but equally important.
Thirdly, Even though some entrepreneurs end up shaping up a brand successfully, sometimes they choose the wrong community to communicate with and between. Products and businesses can be closed down, taken away but Brand can never be taken away. After the creation of a brand it always remains as a brand but yes, it can definitely fail. It only fails when it is with a wrong community.
To top everything off, it is safe to say Business is always sales oriented while Brand is community oriented. Business is nothing without a product but Brand is something larger than a product. Although Brand is larger than product it is required that the brand sells its product because growing business is equally important.
