The Fiscal Compass 2026 | Beyond the Numbers, Shaping Bangladesh’s Future

A national budget is more than a statement of numbers—it reflects priorities, possibilities, and the direction of a country’s future.

Held on 22 June 2026 at the University of Asia Pacific, The Fiscal Compass 2026 brought together policymakers, economists, academics, and industry leaders for an important dialogue on Bangladesh’s proposed National Budget for FY 2026–27.

With the Honourable Finance Minister Mr. Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury as Guest of Honor, the discussion explored the choices, challenges, and opportunities that will shape Bangladesh’s economic journey ahead.

Every meaningful change begins with the courage to listen.

Over two days, government representatives, civil society, human rights advocates, survivors, and development partners came together for a meaningful national dialogue on preventing torture and strengthening the implementation of UNCAT and OPCAT.

Organized by Odhikar with the support of OMCT, the consultation created a space for voices to be heard, experiences to be shared, and a collective commitment to a more just, humane, and accountable future.

Cloud MarCom was honored to manage this important initiative, contributing to a platform where meaningful conversations inspire lasting impact.
