*হাইকোর্টে একটি মামলায় সাক্ষী হিসাবে কাজের মাসি শিলার ডাক পড়েছে....

বাদীপক্ষের দুঁদে উকিল 'প্রমথ বিশ্বাস' শিলা মাসি কে ঘাবড়ে দেবার জন্য প্রথমেই জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন: *"আপনি আমায় চেনেন ??

শিলা মাসির উত্তর: *“ওমা চিনব না কেন ?? তুমি প্রমথ তো !! তোমায় ন্যাংটা বয়স থেকেই চিনি। পুরো বখে যাওয়া ছেলে ছিলে। মিথ্যা কথা বলতে। লোক ঠকানোয় ওস্তাদ ছিলে। লাগানি ভাঙানি ভালোই করতে। আরো অনেক গুন তোমার ছিল সে সব আর বলছি না। নিজেকে মস্ত কেউকেটা ভাবতে যদিও কানাকড়ির মুরোদ ছিল না। তোমাকে আমি ভালই চিনি।"*

প্রমথ বাবু স্তম্ভিত হয়ে গেলেন। ভেবে পাচ্ছিলেন না কি করবেন। কোর্ট ঘরের অপর প্রান্তে বিবাদী পক্ষের উকিল "অসিত ধরে"র দিকে অঙ্গুলি নির্দেশ করে বললেন: *“ওনাকে চেনেন ??"*

শিলা মাসির উত্তর: *“ওমা চিনব না কেন ?? ওতো অসিত। খুব ভাল করেই চিনি। অলস অকর্মণ্য। কারো সাথে সদ্ভাব ছিল না। পাঁড় মাতাল। শহরের সবচেয়ে পিশাচ উকিল। বৌয়ের চোখে ধুলো দিয়ে তিনটে ছুঁড়ির সাথে ফষ্টিনষ্টি করে। তার মধ্যে একজন তোমার বৌ। ওকেও ছোট থেকেই চিনি।”*

*বিবাদী পক্ষের উকিল অসুস্থ বোধ করতে লাগলেন।*

এমন সময় জজ সাহেব দুই উকিলকে কাছে ডাকলেন। উকিলদ্বয় কাছে যাবার পর নিচু গলায় শান্তস্বরে জজ সাহেব বললেন:

*“দুই গর্দভের একজনও যদি ওই মহিলাকে প্রশ্ন করো যে আমায় চেনে কিনা তাহলে তোমাদের আমি ফাঁসি কাঠে চড়াব।

অন্য ধর্মী ভাই এর প্রটেকশন দিন, তাদের পাহারা দিন কিছুদিন। কিছুদিন হয়ত কষ্ট হবে, কিন্তু এ স্বাধীনতা বানচাল করতে দেয়া যাবে না কোনোভাবেই! কোনো ভাবেই লীগ এর পরিকল্পনা সফল হতে দেয়া যাবে না!

নিজে দায়িত্ব নিয়ে শুরু করুন কারো অপেক্ষায় না বসে থেকে। আওয়াজ তুলুন, আইডিয়া দিন, কথা বলুন, এখন চুপ করে থাকার সময় নেই আর।
যে মসজিদের মাইকে মানুষকে এক হওয়ার ডাক দিয়েছেন, সেই মাইকে সংখ্যালঘুদের নিরাপত্তাদের ডাক দিন।
