Strengthening Impact: 3-Day Training on Outcome Harvesting & Most Significant Change (MSC)

We are proud to share that Advanced Research Thoughts Lab Ltd. (ART Lab) has successfully completed a comprehensive 3-day capacity-building program for The Hunger Project Bangladesh (THP-BD)! From December 30, 2025, to January 1, 2026, 32 dedicated staff members from THP-BD and the Multi-stakeholder Initiative on Peace and Stability (MIPS) gathered at the NGO Forum, Lalmatia, for an intensive deep dive into participatory MEAL methodologies.

Traditional monitoring often misses the "human" side of change. Through Outcome Harvesting and the Most Significant Change (MSC) technique, the THP-BD team is now better equipped to identify, verify, and analyze the complex, emergent changes in behavior and relationships that drive peacebuilding and governance in Bangladesh.

We extend our gratitude to the leadership of The Hunger Project Bangladesh, particularly Mr. Prashanta Tripura (Country Director) and Mr. Jamirul Islam (Director, Training), for their vision and trust. We also acknowledge the generous support of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) for making this initiative possible.

ART Lab Introduces IoT-Powered Smart Solar Irrigation Dashboard using Arduino Cloud! 🌱💧🔆

We’re excited to share a major milestone from ART Lab as part of our project — “Smart Solar Irrigation System with IoT Integrated Real-time Ground Water Level Monitoring for Sustainable Agriculture.”

Using Arduino Cloud, our team has built a powerful IoT dashboard that brings real-time farm insights directly to farmers’ fingertips. This innovation empowers farmers to make smarter, more sustainable agricultural decisions with data they never had access to before.

🔍 What farmers can now monitor in real time:
✔ Electricity usage & cost tracking
✔ Pump ON/OFF count throughout the day
✔ Daily pump operating hours
✔ Soil moisture levels
✔ And most importantly — the groundwater extraction layer! 💧

Knowing which layer of the aquifer they’re extracting from helps farmers understand the pressure on groundwater resources and take environment-friendly, sustainable actions.

This IoT-enabled solution represents a big step forward in:

We are honoured to share that ART Lab has been awarded the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) Youth Innovation Fund 2025, supported by Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) and the Embassy of Sweden!

This recognition celebrates our efforts in youth-led innovation for climate resilience, empowering communities, building sustainable research tools, and driving positive change.

ARTLab Prepares to Launch Groundwater and Energy Insights Dashboard

We are pleased to confirm that the launch of the Groundwater and Energy Insights Dashboard is slated for mid-November 2025. This interactive platform is designed to provide clear, real-time observational data on key sustainability metrics in agriculture.

The dashboard will feature four main analytical sections:
- Groundwater Level Observations: Visual tracking of depth fluctuations.
- Water & Energy Use Metrics: Insights into the efficiency of irrigation practices.
- Power Use vs. Efficiency Plot: A look at how solar energy translates into performance.
- Monthly Comparative Graphs: Side-by-side data showing electricity use under traditional versus solar-based systems.

A crucial component of this project, supported by the ICCAD Youth Innovation Fund 2025, is the planned integration of farmers' insights to ensure the data is grounded in practical field experience. This platform is a major step in promoting a data-driven approach to sustainable groundwater and energy management.

What a day! We are so energized after presenting at the "Connecting Communities for Climate Adaptation: Exploring Climate-Resilient Food System Futures" workshop on August 31, 2025, at the Six Seasons Hotel, Gulshan-2, Dhaka!

Our team was honored to showcase our work on the "Smart Solar Irrigation System with IoT Integrated Real-Time Groundwater Level Monitoring for Sustainable Agriculture". It was an incredible opportunity to share how youth-led innovation can create real solutions to climate challenges in agriculture.

A huge thank you to ICCCAD and GAIN Bangladesh for organizing this workshop under the FoSTr Programme.
