“Postmortem” is a stage production that explores the social pressures, parental expectations, and quiet violence of urban life through the testimony of a school student. Written and directed by Fahim Maleque Evan, the play will be performed at the National Theatre Hall in Bangladesh. It uses a child's perspective to highlight the emotional toll of a competitive society where exams are seen as battlegrounds. The production emphasizes collective experience over individual heroics, with all roles played by members of the University of Asia Pacific Drama Club.

The play’s title reflects its themes, focusing on the aftermath of societal pressures and the normalization of anxiety and control.

Ingenious Marketing Club of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) has launched a powerful awareness campaign titled “Advocating for Citizens’ Right to Affordable Medicines”. The initiative highlights the rising cost of medicines in Bangladesh and the urgent need for greater access to essential healthcare. The campaign was inaugurated at the UAP Plaza.

Ceremony was attended by UAP Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qumrul Ahsan, Advisor to the VC Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, and Dean of the School of Business Prof. Dr. M. A. Baqui Khalily. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ahsan emphasized that “Access to affordable medicines is not just an economic issue; it is a fundamental right.”

More than 60 student teams registered for the competition, with over 40 submitting creative ideas. Eight teams reached the final round, where they presented innovative solutions through stalls, live demonstrations, and presentations.

Chief guest Architect Mahbuba Haque, Chairperson of the UAP Board of Trustees, praised the students, saying that ensuring medicine affordability in Bangladesh is a challenge that impacts every household. She encouraged students to continue using marketing knowledge for social good.

Prizes were awarded to the top three teams, while faculty members including Mr. Sarwar Razzaq Chowdhury and Prof. Dr. Shamsad Ahmed joined the event.

Over the years, UAP’s Ingenious Marketing Club has led several social awareness campaigns—from anti-drug initiatives to anti-harassment drives—proving that marketing can be a tool not only for business but also for positive social change in Bangladesh.
