সেই আদি আমল থেকে কচ্ছপ আর খরগোশের গল্প আমরা সবাই জানি। কিন্তু মজার বিষয় হল আমরা ১ম অধ্যায়টাই বেশি শুনেছি। কিন্তু এই গল্পের আরো ৩ টি অধ্যায় আছে। যা হয়তো আমরা কেউ শুনেছি, কেউ শুনিনি।
১ম অধ্যায়ঃ এই অধ্যায়ে খরগোশ ঘুমিয়ে যায়, আর কচ্ছপ জিতে যায়। প্রথমবার হেরে যাওয়ার পর খরগোশ বিশ্লেষণ করে দেখল তার পরাজয়ের মূল কারণ 'অতিরিক্ত আত্মবিশ্বাস।' তার মানে অতি আত্মবিশ্বাস যে কারো জন্যই ক্ষতিকর। আর কচ্ছপ বুঝল, লেগে থাকলে সাফল্য আসবেই!
২য় অধ্যায়ঃ হেরে যাওয়ার পর এবার খরগোশ আবারো কচ্ছপকে দৌড় প্রতিযোগিতায় চ্যালেঞ্জ করল আর কচ্ছপও রাজী হল। এবার খরগোশ না ঘুমিয়ে দৌড় শেষ করল এবং জয়ী হল। খরগোশ বুঝল, মন দিয়ে নিজের সামর্থের পুরোটা দিয়ে কাজ করলে দ্রুত সফল হওয়া যায়। আর কচ্ছপ বুঝল, ধীর স্থিরভাবে চলা ভালো, তবে কাজে উপযুক্ত গতি না থাকলে প্রতিযোগীতামূলক পরিবেশে জয়ী হওয়া অসম্ভব!
৩য় অধ্যায়ঃ কচ্ছপ এবার খরগোশকে আরেকবার দৌড় প্রতিযোগিতার আমন্ত্রন জানালো। খরগোশও নির্দ্বিধায় রাজী হয়ে গেল। তখন কচ্ছপ বলল, "একই রাস্তায় আমরা ২ বার দৌড়েছি, এবার অন্য রাস্তায় হোক।" খরগোশও রাজী। অতএব নতুন রাস্তায় দৌড় প্রতিযোগিতা শুরু হল। যথারীতি খরগোশ জোরে দৌড় শুরু করে দিল। কচ্ছপও তার পিছন পিছন আসতে শুরু করল। কচ্ছপ যখন খরগোশ এর কাছে পৌঁছাল, দেখল খরগোশ দাঁড়িয়ে আছে, কিন্তু দৌড়ের শেষ সীমানায় যেতে পারেনি। কারন দৌড়ের শেষ সীমানার আগে একটি খাল আছে। কচ্ছপ খরগোশ এর দিকে একবার তাকালো, তারপর তার সামনে দিয়ে পানিতে নেমে খাল পার হয়ে দৌড়ের শেষ সীমানায় পৌছে প্রতিযোগিতা জিতে গেল। খরগোশ বুঝল, শুধু নিজের শক্তির উপর নির্ভর করলেই হবে না, পরিস্থিতি আর বাস্তবতা অনুধাবন করাও ভীষণ প্রয়োজনীয়! আর কচ্ছপ বুঝল, প্রথমে প্রতিযোগীর দূর্বলতা খুজে বের করতে হবে, তারপর সেই অনুযায়ী পরিকল্পনা করতে হবে।
গল্প কিন্তু এখানেই শেষ নয়
চতুর্থ অধ্যায়ঃ এবার খরগোশ কচ্ছপকে আরেকটি দৌড় প্রতিযোগিতার জন্য আহবান জানালো এই একই রাস্তায়। কচ্ছপ ও রাজী। কিন্তু এবার তারা ঠিক করল, প্রতিযোগী হিসেবে নয়, বরং এবারের দৌড়টা তারা দৌড়াবে সহযোগী হিসেবে!
শুরু হল প্রতিযোগিতা। খরগোশ কচ্ছপকে পিঠে তুলে দৌড়ে খালের সামনে গিয়ে থামলো। এবার কচ্ছপ খরগোশ এর পিঠ থেকে নেমে খরগোশকে নিজের পিঠে নিয়ে খাল পার হল। তারপর আবার কচ্ছপ খরগোশ এর পিঠে উঠে বাকী দৌড় শেষ করল আর এবার তার দু'জনই একসাথে জয়ী হল।
আমরা শিখলাম, ব্যক্তিগত দক্ষতা থাকা খুবই ভালো। কিন্তু দলবদ্ধ হয়ে একে অপরের দক্ষতাকে কাজে লাগাতে পারলেই আসে সত্যিকারের সাফল্য যেখানে সবাই বিজয়ীর হাসি হাসতে পারে।
