Today's message is about sports. I want to talk about something that I participated in before I had experienced a tragedy, you know, getting high on drugs, heart stopped 11 minutes, coma ten days , hospital for 8 months, trying to get myself back right, but through the mercies of God, I'm able to stand here and give you all this testimony.
But that For the love of pleasure testimony or video, you got to listen to that video. It's it's deep. It's rich. It's full of the word of God. Getting high on drugs. Stopped my heartbeat for 11 minutes and put me in a coma for 10 days. Wow.
So today's message is about sports. And these days, sports are to prove a point. It's personal. It's something that's man against man or man versus man. You know, a bunch of people who are trying to showcase their abilities to prove a point, to show you that I'm better than you, to show you that I got it going on. I told you you couldn't beat me. to prove a point.
Sports it all involves what is called the will of man. God give everybody a chance to do what they want to do or become what they want to become. You can become a lawyer, doctor, athlete, you know, you have a choice. Uh that that's the free will that God gave us to have. But sports was mine. That's why I wanted to become a professional athlete. Yes, I did.
In sports, I got to say it myself that I was a one-of-a-kind athlete. I was talented. I was skillful. Uh, I had it going on. I had to prove a point to the people to let them know that I'm better than you.
That could be a form of pride. I played baseball, football, and basketball. A ball was always in my hands. In football, the first year is playing football, I was a starting safety. Later on, the next year I became the quarterback and I was the starting quarterback for five years.
And during those five years of quarterbacking, I earned the MVP trophy as a quarterback twice. I had a skill and a ton. I can scramble to the left and throw the ball all the way down the field with my left hand. I can scramble to the right and throw the ball all the way down the field with my right hand with accuracy.
Oh my god. But I let drugs take away my ability because it put me in a coma. And that's when I can say that yours took it from me. It put me into something I did not want to be in that coma. In baseball, I earned two MVP trophies as the baseball pitcher.
And in baseball, the first year my record was 15-1. The second year, the second year, my record was 14-2. So, in my little league career, I earned four MVP trophies. I was good. I had it going on. I was a I was a good pitcher. I had a cousin who told me that I had the best curve ball in the world. That's what he said. Oh my god. I can throw a curveball with my left hand and my right hand.
