A quick SEO lesson from one of my clients' sites:
Last year, I published new content (Maybe two or three articles in total)
During that time, Google rolled out three major updates, including the March, June, and December 2025
Naturally, I expected a hit as everyone was facing the same. But something interesting happened.
1. Keywords stayed stable
2. Traffic declined slightly, but nothing serious
3. No sudden drops, no penalties
The site didn’t grow fast. But it also didn’t crash.
And that matters. Why did this happen?
I wasn’t chasing tricks or shortcuts. I stuck to the basics that I always prefer:
1. Clear search intent
2. Useful, well-structured content
3. No over-optimization
4. No thin or rushed pages
Even without frequent publishing, Google continued to trust the site.
So my takeaways are, as always, the same:
If your content is genuinely helpful and intent-focused, Google updates won’t break your site (AEO, GEO, and AIO will be automatically optimized)
