A new logo will not sell out your retreat. Here is what actually does 👇
When founders come to us, the instinct is almost always to start with the logo. But a logo is one small piece of a much bigger picture. The brands that book out their events are the ones where every visual choice pulls in the same direction: toward a feeling.
Here is what actually moves people from scrolling to buying:
1. A consistent visual world, not a single graphic. Your audience should recognise you from the corner of a Story, a ticket page, an email, a sign at the door. That recognition is built through repetition: the same colours, type, and tone showing up everywhere. One beautiful logo cannot do that on its own.
2. Colour that sets the emotional temperature. People decide how they feel about your event in milliseconds, and colour does most of that work. Warm and high-energy reads very differently from calm and restorative. Pick the feeling first, then the palette.
3. Type with a point of view. Fonts are tone of voice. A bold display face says something different from a quiet serif. The brands that stand out commit to a typographic personality and use it on purpose, rather than reaching for whatever looks nice this season.
4. Imagery that sells the transformation, not the venue. People do not buy a ticket for a room or a field. They buy who they get to be there. Your photography and art direction should show the experience and the feeling, not just the logistics.
5. A system that holds it all together. This is the part most people miss. A real brand is a set of rules for how everything fits: spacing, hierarchy, how the logo behaves, what goes where. That system is what makes a small team look like a sold-out, established event every single time.
The logo is the easy part. The world around it is what does the selling.
Save this for the next time someone tells you that you just need a refresh. 🧡
